It wasn't debatable. I saw all first hand, on both systems. Nothing could touch Ryse.

It also goes to show you that no one in the console space gives a s*** about image quality, sadly.

I do and Ryse was amazing to look at. A little less amazing when it was moving but amazing nonetheless. The Order looked amazing for the minute I got to see if it. The images the developers were able to get out of those underpowered machines was astounding.

Anybody can make great images when the horsepower is unlimited.

Image quality is more than just resolution.............AA, AF, things that clean up the images. Some of these games have terrible filters like the order that blur the image same thing for FXAA.
 
Not surprising. Just like when Ryse got an award. The Order has some great graphics. Notice how the two best looking games aren't considered two of the best games this gen though? Can't wait until other games look and play great. Skyrim/Fallout with Ryse/The Order visuals? I'm done. Don't even make another console after that. We're already playing CGI movies almost.

This I can agree with. Not nearly as bad as last gen. I think a lot of games are starting to switch from FXAA to SMAA (which is SUPERIOR in every way) and is personally by favorite PPAA.

Exactly, your life is a lie unless you're playing games with the best possible graphics. PC gamers know this. It's what they've been trying to tell us all along. The Peasantbox One and the PoS4? Get that trash outta here.
 
I was honestly expecting more talk about these awards. Some of you defended them as if they're the Oscars of gaming.

Ah well.
