The Order 1866 wins best video game visuals

Its a great looking game I suppose, though its a poor list. Destiny, seriously.
Why are games like Tomb Raider, Star war battlefront, Witcher, Everyone gone to rapture not on the list?

All of those pictures are a tad blurry looking. Matches what I see when playing the game, too. The games image quality isn't that great.
I see what you mean. I actually like the filters. I think they add to the ye-olde timey feel. But I get why some people hate it.
I HATED all of the noise filters in Silent Hill/That horror photography game.
I said the list is poor, because-----the list is poor. Come on who would put Destiny in that list.
Would Order still win, maybe, possibly but the list is still poor.
The 2015 version wasn't imo.
The 2016 version might be one of 2016 visual contenders.
Well yeah PC always wins. I was talking 2015 and console. There better be better looking games that continue to come out later. So 2016 should raise the bar.
I am sorry but any award list for best real-time visuals in a game that lists Destiny in any way shape or form is a list that was comprised by morons.

It winning VES realtime graphics prize is kinda like winning A Oscar for gaming though.

It would be tough being a judge on a panel like that. Do you judge on technicality, or on art direction/action on screen also?
Racing games are typically beautiful, but they tend to all look the same to me.
Shooters have the big bucks behind them, and can do some spectacular things, but again, are limited in that they try to appeal to dude-bro. No colourful scenes or beautiful vistas with lapping waves. Just brown water and stuccod ruins.
Adventure games can cut sick, but outside of Dragon Age, AssCreed, and Witcher, that's it for the graphic powerhouses.

No, that would be the DICE awards.
The Order was one of the best looking games last year and deservedly one. Though the fact that this group put a 2014 game's expansion that had no graphics upgrade of note over and The Hobbit over Battlefront/Tomb Raider/Bloodbourne/Witcher is an absolute joke and shows they aren't really paying attention.
They are just as prestigious as DICE if not more so.
Even though I agree Destiny shouldn't of been nominated(neither should ROTR) it did have visual upgrades in TTK.
The VES awards may be prestigious, however the DICE awards are for the industry voted by industry peers so for DEV's they are going to mean much more.
