This Ninja Foodi is glorious. Now I know why white women on YouTube always got more than one, including the Instant Pot. Even though the Instant Pot is what started all the rage, I got the NF because it's more aesthetically pleasing imo.

Got another pot to go in it so that I don't have to immediately clean out the original when I want to cook more than one thing.

I work IT in K12 in WI. Haven't heard anything about remote learning plans but we do use Google Classroom and Schoology to it's possible. I can work remotely but if most staff and students are gone it wouldn't be a big deal to still go in. Anyways, I think WI is up to 8 confirmed cases so far.

Daughter down in a high fever for 3 days, went to infection clinic today, they had hazmat suits while taking her blood etc lol
No corona, just ordinary flu. Starting to cough and sore throat myself this morning, fun times.

I started feeling bad yesterday evening, low grade fever, cough with yellow phlegm, feel like crap, no soar throat or shortness of breath, I think it is just normal cold or a viral infection I took the day off today.

Was still running a low fever today so I went to a Urgent Care to get checked out. I tested negative for the the flu think it’s an infection. Gave me a shot and prescriptions. Since I was still running fever in their office they don’t want me to return to work till Mon. Now my boss is pissed off we are really understaffed other people have taken off as well. I’m like what you want me to do I’m sick!

You cant work remote? I bet the shelter in place is going to happen to a lot more areas. We've kinda started that in so cal.

So is this the coronavirus/"what are you doing to stay sane and entertained" thread?

I still have to go to work unfortunately but also fortunately, bittersweet basically.

I work in a produce department at a grocery store, apparently I'm an essential worker :D I feel like much less of a loser right now because of that.

But I'm also wearing non-latex gloves like crazy, staying away from people (just tonight, a group of 5 people decided to stop and have a group conversation while I was trying to fill up the wet-wall, I walked away and stood in the back of the produce department until they dispersed)

Work is very interesting right now. Tonight was the first time the store was completely dead compared to usual.

I think people have hoarded their things finally, at least where I live.

I live with my parents btw, and they are both 75+ and I really worry about picking up this virus and bringing it home, so I'm being really careful to the point that I'm actually leaving the store for long periods of time and just sitting in my car. I fill up things that are getting low, then go on a long break over and over.

Feels like I'm getting away with it.

My work load went up as part of pushing out supplies to restock shelves. I supply cardboard boxes to several Tyson Chicken processors.

I did an extra trip yesterday and drove almost 700 miles.

Anyway, I flip through YouTube for random s*** since it always has new stuff and I listen to the Audio to follow the news or gaming stuff like DooM coming out.

I also listened to reviews on VR and decided to order the Oculus Rift S which I'll get this weekend.

I'm on the "the-flu-kills-more-than-this"-crew.
World has gone insane.
i think difference is we dont know what corona virus is capable of, it could mutate into something more dangerous and it is deadly to older people and people who have underlying issues already so you dont want to spread it, since our bodies dont have immunity to it yet people get it alot easier and spread it alot easier.

Symptoms dont sound fun either even if your life isnt in danger

this whole stacking up on toilet paper and s*** is RIDICULOUS though

My wife and neighbor went to a few big stores yesterday looking for pretty much anything. Still no meat, frozen food, can goods, bread, milk, eggs, toilet paper, paper towels, wipes, or pull ups for our kids. We still have stuff left but won’t last too much longer.

When homes start running out wtf are people going to do?

Start sizing up your neighbors to see who would make for a good stew?

I think the biggest issue right now is the pressure it is putting on health systems. That might not be the case quite yet in the US (mainly because testing is complete s***), but in other spots people just can't get the care they need. This is the whole reason behind flattening the curve. If you can slow the spread over time, more people can get the care they need. There is also the worry that with this being a respritory illness that there could be long lasting effects with that in people, which we won't know for a while. Yes the flu is bad, but this is still stressing our system and is nowhere near as bad as some other pandemic that could be civilization killing. We were caught with our pants down on something like this. Imagine something like COVID which is fairly easy to transmit, but with the death rate of Ebola.

Wonder how many of the world's billionaires and hollyweird celebrities have bought or try to buy respiratory equipment for themselves?

Yep, it's maybe not a joke. Not just "the flu".......

We all know what the last resort is.....eat other people.

Before that we can eat squirrels though, which I don't like because squirrels are cool as f***.

Also, where did all the raccoons go? Haven't seen one in forever.
