I hate to have to make these statements, especially in a game forum, but I feel something needs to be said.
You would thought this is something uncontroversial just years ago, but yet I have to say it. Compassion & emotion can supplement Logical & rationality, but they shouldn't ignore or overwrite Logical & rationality.
After a while in social media, I started to realized people are NOT interested to hear what you have to say, they wanted to hear from you, what they want to hear. If you provide an opinion, no matter how well-intended, they will use emotional blackmail or name-calling to shut you down. People care less about facts & solutions, only things confirmed to what they already aligned. They only want to hear what makes them feel good, that it's ways someone else faults, & not told they need to be the change that improves themselves.
Saying obesity is a problem & people need to not glorify obesity & diet/exercise to reduce the health risk. You will be called all sorts of names & shamed, & have people making irrational arguments (that no one made) like "thin people can be unhealthy as well", "just because one is fat doesn't mean they are unhealthy". I don't remember anyone ever saying thin people cannot be unhealthy, but the tactics of making outlandish claimed that no one made & use it as an argument/attack is very common in my experience.
We reach the peak clown world when "activists" attack Adele for sharing a photo. So what so offensive about the photo? She slimmed down & not longer body-positive role model anymore. If you comment on how great she looks or "like", you are a bigot & horrible person.
The west, some countries more so than others has increase health issues due to obesity, but you can't talk about it, as it makes people feel bad. It's all about emotion. Worse off, its double standard. Saying you don't date a fat woman is hate speech & sexist, but women make fun of men being short, poor or bald is okay. Never mind you can't choose to be short or bald, but you can choose to lose weight.
