Just say screw it, move down to the islands and become a bartender at a tiki hut bar on the beach like Tom Cruise in Cocktail. Looked like a peaceful life till he knocked that chick up, then started banging the rich lady and moved back to New York City with herI hear that. I've got my nice public sector job that I'm really hesitant to leave for private sector right now.
So, do I stick with the soul crushing job and hope I can retire in 10 years, or jump ship and maybe end up getting laid off?
I also don't want to get stuck working a ton of extra hours for an insignificant amount of money more than I make now.
I'm turning 50 next year and I'm definitely getting to that part of my life where super high stress and massive workloads are for someone younger.
Yeah that will help him
Some words are banned because advertisingI haven't post here for a while, some very random thoughts
Either the world has gone nuts or me. A while agao, I was on discord what I made a remark I thought was a simple joke, & got the most bats*** crazy responses. I simply use the word "puusy" to make fun of someone being timid.
Apparantly, this was a Taboo word, & told I should have use the word "coward" & the word is being banned.
I said they cannot be this sensitive, & got bats*** response that we are over this for hundreds of years.... & question I know why I use the word "p****" instead of "coward". I think he/she is implying I am some sexist or something....
Am I the bad guy here and not keep up to time? or the world gone super sensitive.
Edit. Apparently the word is banned here as well....lol
Fair point. Some words are banned because advertising
Stop being such a pvssy and get over it.Fair point.
Anyway, my issue is not its 2023 & certain words are now Taboo ( I think its oversensitive but whatever), but the bad faith take that because you use a word that until a while ago, that was okay, & wasn't intentionally mocking the fairer gender (99,99% of time) anyway, that you are concously or unconisously being sexist or something.
By nose do you mean penis, and by snot do you mean cum? If so... no, I'd rather have a bit of goo that bubbles out than a leaking dick.Don’t you hate when you don’t exactly have a “runny” nose, but you have like a little snot bubble in one of your nostrils?
It's just an outmoded insult that is, yeah, inherently misogynistic and kinda cringe, really.Fair point.

I have gay friends that still say it to other gay friends, granted they’re a few decades older than I.It's just an outmoded insult that is, yeah, inherently misogynistic and kinda cringe, really.
I've gained a lot of perspective on what a lot of my women friends have to go through just being the gender they are and what men do to them because they think it's "no big deal" or "that's just the way it is", but there are things we definitely have to change our minds about as, y'know, a society and the words we use are a part of that. I mean, using "gay" as an adjective for something that kinda sucks is something we had to phase out too, for very good reason.
It's different when the affected party is doing it versus someone else using it as an insult, too.I have gay friends that still say it to other gay friends, granted they’re a few decades older than I.
But sometimes they did intend it as an insult. But it has been a good moment since I’ve heard them or anyone else say it….well maybe when I went with my partner to get her hair cut and some of the stylist would say itIt's different when the affected party is doing it versus someone else using it as an insult, too.
I should've phrased myself better: it's different when a gay person uses "gay" versus someone who isn't gay using it as an insult/slur. But you're right, it seems to be phasing out entirely, so it's only the olds holding onto it.But sometimes they did intend it as an insult.
