Note to self: Never agree to a ride in Plainview's car.
It's a short ride, and I usually go first thing in the morning about 10 minutes after a drink of water is the trigger. When I have to go in before six, sometimes time is short. My commute is under eight minutes sans traffic.

When I was a 90s kid, pre internet days,I like reading about supernatural & stuff, UFOs, ghosts stories.

One particular ghost story stayed with me. if you are familar with ghost stories, one of the recurring theme is injustice, & wandering spirits were often result of great injustice/ atrocities deal upon them , that is so severed, that their spirit refused to leave the moral plane until justice is served or they can finally gain peace.

In one particular story, a ghost was haunting a village. What happaned was this man was caught stealing a boat, & the village or major (or whoever) decide the punishment was for him to be hang as a statement or something to deter crimes. The man was obvious shocked by the serverity of the punishment & begged them to reconsidered. It fail & he was hung. His spirit huanted the village from that day onwards for the percieved injustice he received.

This story is particularly thought provoking in that we often see injustice in context of someone being innocence, being punished. But some one can be gulity can also be subject of injustice when the punishment is worse than the crime.

Person often overlook this.

We've been lucky to avoid the crazy temperatures, but it is basically like Florida humidity every day. So even if it is 80 or so, it is super humid and you can't even do anything but blast fans or a/c. I actually look forward to fall when the weather is actually nice and we can actually do things outside.

Did a converter so you can understand in inferior terms, but it's been at least 35 Celsius here for like a month now. One of the hotter summers I've had in my days, plus like 80% humidity at like all times. Actually miserable
Not to make fun of our American friends but this is a true story I heard online.

I heard an argument from an Someone why he/she thinks the Fahrenheit is better than Celcius in temperature measurement. He/or she said Fahrenheit has wider numeral range (for same change in temp), hence its more precise & give example of body temperature. For Celcius, you can only measure 4 degrees of body temperature range ( 36-40C )but using Fahrenheit you can measure 7 degrees, ( 97 to 104 F) . Therefore Fahrenheit is more precise.

I have to roll my eyes. He/she must have never done math pass integers & did not know the concept of decimals.

Been 30° Celsius (yes, the real degree) here for a couple of weeks now.
Where I live, its about 25 degree, with occasional high of 27.5 C. Hot Enough, but not super crazy.

A few days or a week of 30+ is okay, but after which the heat insolation cannot covercome the heat & and gets very warm indoor. Unless you have air conditioning I guess.

I'm sorry, but you can't beat that argument. 7 > 6 confirmed

USA > Yurop confirmed

You by Lake Ontario? Probably doesn't help.

I'm right on the gulf shore. Gives us lots of humidy and bulls*** storms.

Buffalo. Lake Erie keeps us cooler but yeah the lakes seem to keep us humid.

Of course all that warm water will dump a ton of snow on us at some point this fall.

Anyway, I wanted to start a life lessons mini-stories. I have a terrible memory, but things that are thought-provoking, I tend to retain well in memory.

When I was in high school, the school started a program called Trim & Fit, targeting overweight students with extra after-school Physical exercise. As crazy as it sounds, in the entire school, only 2 students could be considered obese & I am being conservative, back in the 90s. So most participants (enforces) are like 1-2 points off BMI like me.

In any case, a lot of students did not want to participate as it was considered embarrassing & so the teacher in charge bought us all to a classroom & gave a very important lesson.

He said, just because you are not seen taking the training, doesn't change people's opinion of you being fat. People think you are fat because you are. Even if you can stop people from calling you fat, but you cannot change what people think. Want people to stop thinking/calling you fat. STOP being fat.
This is some hard truth that would by today's standard get him fired I am sure, or at least complaints from parents.

The lesson that stayed with me, is, you cannot force perception/opinion using force. You can try to silence people, but they still think what they think.

If you wanted perception to change, prove them wrong or make the positive changes needed.

We do, but the price of wings is through the roof now.

Wings used to be bar food that you got for .10-.15 each.

Now I can almost buy a new video game for the price of a pizza and 30 wings.

Does that area have New York Fries? I tried those on the Canada side but wasn't sure if that brand was on the U.S. side despite the name.

But yeah, otherwise I know the winter weather painfully well from driving the Thruway during blizzards in an 18 wheeler. Only good thing is the convenient plaza stops.

I'm tired, but I don't want to go to sleep and f*** up my sleep schedule, which means I'll still be up late tonight anyway, which means I'll be more tired, which means...

I made the mistake of having a nap after doctor appointment on rare extra day off and slept lite overnight. Not to busy at work though so not to bad with my coffee.

Otherwise, another freakin rainstorm but weather cleared for now.

Maybe just, you know, go to bed at a reasonable time? Never underestimate the power of a solid sleep schedule.

No, I think those are only in Canada.

Winters can be fun, but it is rare to get big snow storms even for us. You get maybe 1 a year. The only thing is if it is a 2 foot storm or a 6 foot storm.

I got lower back pain when I woke up this morning after playing football yesterday. I did not wore shoes (I had the spikey type for grass, but played on a court so I took them off) when I play that maybe causing the ache as there is no cushion to dampen the impact without shoes.

The silverlining is, I had the best sleep for 2 months, I suffered from insomnia for the past 2 months & could not get to sleep until 3-4 am dispite in bed at about 12 for 2 months.

Pardon my ignorance, but is there tech that can apply an electromagnetic wave to a specific tiny device to make it float at a specified height? Can the tiny device be programmed to adjust that height?
