This game just keeps on giving. Love it. So much depth and great story telling. Looks fantastic to boot.
CD Project deserve the success and I look forward to the expansions and their future games.
Apologies for the gushing, just having such a great time playing through it.

Won my self about 10 cards in Gwent tonight. Got me some awesome ones too, like Yennefer, and a couple of 10 rated cards  I have almost got a full Societal & Monster deck too.

74 hours.. and i still havent done a main mission in Skellige, i have never played a single player game for this long in my life. full credit to CD PROJEKT RED for a job well done.

its not perfect, the menu system could use a HUUUUUUGE improvement but the important stuff work for me. for a generation of disappointments i hope this is the turning point

Game has reached 4 million sales? Fantastic for them full credit. I am slowly making my way through this game, only level 14. The missions in Novigrad are heaps of fun both the main and secondary missions, that scene with
all the underworld figures in the bath house
was a highlight for me.

How do you guys get so many gwent cards? I buy any i can from vendors but they are far and few between and as a result do not have many at all.

I done 88 hours. The story never let go.

This game feel like a long TV series, as each main quests (esepcially those linked ones) feel like a single/couple of epsisodes by themselves.

A thing bugged me though.
The lack of local map (like caves) . There is one area where I was going in circle for a good 20mins trying to get out a cave.

Gwent is the first card minigame in an rpg that works somewhat well. In other games such as FF8 (spit!) or KOTOR the card games were meh.

Looks like the Xbox One has the new Update. I am currently downloading it, it weighs in at 600MB.

Damn, 4 million in 2 weeks. When you consider the first 2 together only sold around 5-6 million, that 4 million in two weeks is much more impressive.

Yeah they did a great job marketing the game, and even after the downgrade the game looks absolutely fantastic. Plus if you preordered digitally you got a 10% discount and access to the game Monday evening.

This one reminds of the scene in the movie Signs, where they are watching that vid from the kids party and the alien steps across from the bushes.

Game is f-ing tough. Almost too tough. I made it to lvl 3 and the Gryphon is still impossibly tough.

I will tell you how I beat the Griffin on Death March Difficulty.

1. Buy as much food and drink as you can.
2. Do not shoot it with your Crossbow when the fight actually starts. Let it fly around and use that time to consume as much food & drink as possible. If you have full health, then shoot it.
3. Keep your distance. 1.) this means the old geezer can take attention of you, allowing for a few sneaky hits. 2.) what for it to lunge at you, if your distance is right he will miss, allowing time for a strike or two.
4. Use Aard. It stuns the beast, allowing you time for a hit or 2.

I actually beat it very easily when I stumbled upon this way.

Yes. I am playing on hardest difficulty too, and like you, I was getting my @ass rocked all the time(I have died around 200 times). Now though, I am a more formidable killing machine.

The key is not in leveling up your character either, although that does help, obviously. The key is learning the best way to utilize what is at your disposal. So...

-Learn to effectively dodge, do not dive.
-Learn the timing of light & heavy attacks.
-Use Quen.
-Find & create the Swallow potion. This really helps in combat as it regenerates your health.
-Do not get surrounded. Use the environment, if possible, to limit how many can attack you at any given time.
-Patience. Keep that block/parry up and pick your moment to strike.
-Try to strike from behind as much as possible, it does more base damage, and maximizes critical hit chance.

For alghouls specifically, make sure you use Axxi( the mind control) on them when they show their spikes. That will force the spikes back in and make them easier to kill.

I'd like to add- Don't forget to READ THE BEASTIARY!

I just took out Jenny 'O the Woods (who was surprisingly difficult). I got her on the second try. I read the description in the Beastiary, and it mentioned using Igni after trapping her with Yrden. That made a huge difference. I didn't realize Igni would be so effective. Also staying in the circle helps, as well as killing her duplicates as quickly as possible.

It's also important to be patient when necessary. Flurry attacks are fine, but knowing when to stop and get defensive is just as important.

I'd like to add that I really wish the armor designs didn't looks so dumb for light armor. I've found some better looking ones, but they don't stack up to my current set doesn't look cool at all. I want the Witcher armor to be upgradeable.

I think there is a bit of imbalance, with Waith being a bit too strong for their level, & humans too weak.

The Witcher armour is upgradeable, but I assume you mean something more substantial, where you can totally change the look.

Personally, I like the Feline Witcher gear.

I think the armosr in Witcher 2 are far better looking. I do not remember a bad looking one.

The cat school scavanger hunt? I was thinking of doing that next. I just reached level 10, and I have a few Items I can't use (which is lame, imo. What's the point of stumbling on awesome gear if you can't even use it?).

As for the armor, I saw some Warrior jacket, but what I have is much better, so I didn't bother with it. I just want unique looking armor, not some other army's colors, you know? It doesn't need to change appearance, just be worth wearing!
