I'm still debating between console or PC. I just don't know if my PC will perform any better.
Wait, you meant to said you have not played the game?

I still recommended PC. The advantages being you can lower the setting to get more FPS, if need, an option not available on Consoles, and mods in future. But if you go console, ou be fine as well.

Need to kiss her at the masquerade ball. And then seal it with that you love her, then should be able to romance Triss.

I am still picking red hairs out my teeth

My Geralt is a slut, he hits anything with a heart beat.

I am reading this thrtaed with a nice cup of Earl Grey Tea. Feeling so nostalgic, of a time when I was a ki

Well I rented it twice. Once on each console. And the experience was janky on both. That was pre 1.04 patch or whatever the latest one is.

Well I pulled the trigger on the PC version. Steam had a slight sale on it.

I let you guys know how my low end system runs it. Hopefully at least on par with console.

"It seems that CD Projekt haven’t given up on optimizing the performance of the PS4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Speaking on the game’s official forums, CDPR’s Marcin Momot assured players that the the development team is still looking into improving PS4 version frame rate performance."

“Our development team is still looking into this issue. FPS on PS4 has been slightly improved with the recent patches but we want to say something when we have solid facts to present to you. As mentioned, the team is trying to improve this aspect of the game, and I will share the information with you as soon as I have something. Thank you for your understanding and sorry about the silence on this topic,” he stated."

"He also revealed that more patches are on their way which will bring along a lot of fixes, as patch 1.06 was only a hot fix for the PC version. He also confirmed that the gold reset issue will be fixed in the upcoming 1.05 hot fix patch for consoles. And finally for users who are facing issues with NPC interaction in Food’s Gold quest, Marcin confirmed that they are currently investigating the issue."

Just met up with Triss at Novigrad. The Witcher fanboy in me was happy to see her. One of the most memorable scenes in W2 was Geralt hittin dat ass in the pool. Best sex scene ever in the history of gaming.

760 and an old AMD quad core.

Your processor might be trouble, but your 760 is fine. Update to the latest Nvidia drivers. The latest drivers fixed a performance issue with some games. Including The Witcher 3.

93hrs in and still not even remotely halfway through the game. I just finished the brother/sister mission in Skellig. There are so many side missions and so many question marks! It's very overwhelming at times.. but the game just keeps getting better and better..what a masterpiece!

Damn. I should have bought it on console.

I downloaded the latest driver and had the Nvidia app optimize the game. All low settings and strangely enough they recommended 1440p.

I messed with a bunch of configurations and can't get solid performance at all.

Can you gift Steam games that you bought for yourself? I may gift this to my nephew if possible.

I thought steam offered refunds now, for any reason?

Yes, they do offer refunds for any reason. This is taken straight from steams site http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

"You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam—for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements; maybe you bought a game by mistake; maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn't like it.

It doesn't matter. Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within fourteen days of purchase, and the title has been played for less than two hours. There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look.

You will be issued a full refund of your purchase within a week of approval. You will receive the refund in Steam Wallet funds or through the same payment method you used to make the purchase. If, for any reason, Steam is unable to issue a refund via your initial payment method, your Steam Wallet will be credited the full amount. (Some payment methods available through Steam in your country may not support refunding a purchase back to the original payment method."

Request refund, buy on X1.

Your old AMD quad is a bottleneck. I have an Intel 2600k processor and a 670 FTW Edition OC. My FPS never goes under 30 fps.

These are my settings. I could probably go higher.

I pushed the old girl as far as she could go. Lol

Looks like I'll be console gamer for awhile.

Man, I put everything on Ultra and set it @ 4k for sh!ts and giggles. I need to save my pennies for a PC that can run that. Incredible looking game.

I do not know about console. It has been found out by people that a lot of the optimization seems to involve 'downgrades' on pc

Hair work active result in huge fps drop. In later patch people notice some hair work animation like the ones on bears are gone. In 1.05, pop in & Lod become more in your face. People and other object will pop out of thin air when in Novigrad at not too far distance. Pop in is always there, but become more aggressive in 1.05. It could be a bug, but likely for performance reason.

It helped lower system, I guess, but people who has more powerful rig will be slightly disappointed.

On consoles, I am guessing it's less likely an issue if performance increased.

I played so much qwent that I even dreamt of playing last night. Lol.

Anyway, a small thing about weeny. I think there should be a ranking for qwent difficulties when you challenge someone. Some are walk over while I met a random non quest player that have op deck. He has like 2 15 points hero cards and bunch of others.

Thankfully he throw all his best cards at the first round and I manage to win with just 2 hero cards.

I am doing pretty well so far in qwent consider a lot of npcs have better cards than me. The trick of exhausting their cards while giving away one round work mostly. A few more better cards and I try to have a go at qwent contest.

By the way, do vender continue to give you cards if you beat them more than one. So far I beat once, and move on to the next player.

Should I feel ashamed if I tell you guys I made a save file before the water scene. But to be fair, I never went to replay the file again.

Yeah, happy to see Triss and declared my undying love for her, talking about a little house by the hill, rearing chicken of something, follow by some passionate love making. It's not as iconic as W2 but there is s a funny part. You just need to play....oh Triss, love of my life.

And then I met Yeniffer later.....oh my, normally I do not go gaga over video game women, but the raven haired sorceress hotness is off the chart, and with an attitude to match. Do youself of a favor and use the dlc alternative costume for her.

.....no no, me and Triss, I suffered from amnesia, you have, and always been my one true love...lol

So. I had to uninstall Witcher 3. Seriously annoying that every time I chose a response, the screen would blur, load, and ten seconds later the game would return back to normal only until I chose another response where the game repeated the same thing over again.

Fortunately I uninstalled it and re-installed it and that seems to have fixed the problem. Now, I gotta deal with getting side tracked when Im supposed to be accomplishing quests. Fack all!

SOrry for the issue. Glad it is fix. DO not let it affect your experience of Witcher 3.

Gwent should be a stand alone game. It was surprisingly more fun than I thought it would be.

Finally won my first game of gwent, was against a ragged old merchant he just had the standard deck and beat him with luck really, still not entirely sure whats going on. I always use too many cards first up then randomly run out of cards in the third round.

Strategy. You need to know what your cards can and can not do. For example: you do not use a card with a cross symbol surrounded by a heart in the first round. You use it the second, then you can pick a card from your discarded pile. That means you can use a powerful card twice.

Game says I've played for 3 days. That's 72 hours. Wtf. I feel like there's so much I haven't seen in this game. Wtf is going on?

Mine says I've played for 126 hours and I'm only halfway through the story. I'm not sure it's accurate since it kept saying 1 day and 5 hours played even though I had well over 50 hours.
