Just finished "The Play's the Thing" quest. Funny stuff, enjoyed that bit. That must've been a headache, translating those rhyming couplets into 15 different languages and making it work.

I'm finding it hard to not be over-levelled. I pretty much have to leave everything else alone and just focus on the main quest, or else I stay way ahead of where I need to be for the main quest. I'm level 17 and doing level 11 and 12 main quest stuff. I'm getting 5 XP right and left for completing long-ass questlines, which is kind of a let down, after all that work. Oh well.

Where is that line, btw? That is, how far above the recommended quest level do you need to be, before you get 5 XP rather than the usual amount? Seems like it's about 4 levels above, something like that?

I believe it's five levels as i was a level 29 doing a green 24 quest. It definitely is a pain in the ass i agree, lucky the stories are usually fun and interesting. But they should sort the levelling out next time it's only 2000 points the whole way through and quests give way too much xp.

Just finished the story. One of if not the very best game i've ever played.

I was reading the credits (out of respect) and I noticed Angry Joe Vargas voiced one if the trolls lol.

I love the trolls. Probably one of my favorite things about the game.

Holy crap, lots of fixes. I like that it shades out papers I've already read, Let alone prong them in their own tab. Is it just that the alt movement is a tad quicker?

I like Ciri's alt costume as well.

Here's the bottom line from that article:

"So back to the question: should you install patch 1.07? Even with its negative impacts on frame-rate on PS4 and Xbox One, it's hard to overlook the wealth of positive changes to The Witcher 3. Weapon stats are rebalanced, the inventory systems are streamlined, and bug fixes too numerous to mention bolster the core package. With the new movement system, everything is snappier, with crowded pub areas now much easier to navigate. The switch to 1.07 is recommended overall, but with some reluctance: we were promised improved performance and it's surprising to see that this controversial area of The Witcher 3 actually seems to take a hit with the new update."

Weird about the performance issues. Misc. GAFFers are reporting improved performance, but that could just be seeing what you expect/want to see. I guess I'll just have to avoid galloping at full speed through the swamps in the rain (something I never did anyhow).

Aside from all the misc. quest/bug fixes, I like the alternate movement response, the addition of storage, the removal of alchemy/crafting items from the inventory weight., and moving books to a separate tab.

They must have been going for parity.

Yeah.....strangely seems like with the latest patch they have nerfed XB1 performance a bit and added the vsync that was/is responsible for the PS4 19fps dips.
Holy Texture Streaming Issues Batman!

Yeah, I did notice a slight framerate hit. It's not too bad though on X1, and I've been wandering about the swamps. It seems to look a teeny bit better, but I'm not sure if it's not my imagination

I noticed a option to turn off motion blur and blur. Has that always been a option or was it just added?

I swear this is the game that keeps on giving. I came back just to see how the new patch affected the game and ended up finding a side quest in Ard Skellig.

I've received the achievement for completing all Witcher contracts :(

I just defended Kaer Mhoren...

You mean DLC?

or did they add more new finishing moves?

Yea I meant DLC don't know why I said patch.

I fear my journey is coming to an end. Level 33 ano the story feels like it's nearing the end. Don't know if I have the time for a double dip but definitely will in a gaming lull and do everything different.

Well the first expansion comes in October. It says it is around 10 hours in length.

Mmm fallout just around the corner might be next year I fire it up.

Well the second expansion--which is around 20 hours--comes in Q1 2016. So I guess you could wait and get them both at the same time. 30 hours for £20 is a steal. That is 2 to 3 times bigger than most $60 games.

So, I finished the story last night. 130 hrs logged in, though 100 would be more accurate as the game timer clicked away in standby mode the first few nights. When I realized all the issues it was causing, including padding the timer, I stopped using standby.

Definitely one of my favorite games of all time. The only other games I've enjoyed playing for this long (and left still wanting more even!) were Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a game this much, and received this much value from it.

Now I have to decide: do I comb the landscape for all those remaining question marks (I think a good 75% of them still remain!), or do I start a new game? Pretty sure I'll do the "?" and make sure there aren't any more "!" hiding out there. I don't have any Witcher Contracts left in my quest log, but pretty sure I didn't get the cheevo for completing them all either.

I've never seen a single question mark in my games the whole time I've played it. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

Lol, joking... right? I haven't had my coffee this morning...

I've got them all in Velen/Novigrad (I think).

That's impressive. I got them all in White Orchard, kinda went downhill from there! I'm going to get to as many as I can, until I burn out. It hasn't happened yet, so maybe it won't.

I haven't gone back to white orchard since I went to velen, lol. I should go back and check!

I've got all but two" ? " on the main lands in Skelege, but I think they are story related.

I'm trying to get all of these out in the water, but it's a bit tedious for what I am finding. I did find an arch griffin on one of the items that I can't kill yet, though.

Shani!

It would be neat to see if our Witcher 1 decisions will have any impact (Chose Triss over Shani).
