The Wii outsells in both console and software. And now with next gen on the horizon, the 360 and PS3 will sell less.
This generation went to Wii.
I did some checking online and the Wii in fact didn't even come close to selling the amount of software that either 360 or PS3 did. So yes, Wii sold the most consoles (to nursing homes that bought it for the pack-in bowling game) but not even 1/2 as much software as the other two consoles. That brings me to my original thought in why the "winner" is only counted by units of console and not take into account the big picture (consoles + software + accessories + services).
Not a big deal to me, just curious.
