Trials Fusion: April 16th

Really enjoying the game but have to agree with others the FMX stuff is annoying and not really fun.

Good game, dont like the FMX stuff though. Ive only done the beginner and easy levels though so far. The extreme ones make me so angry, I hope these arent as bad as the previous games.

I'm enjoying this game so far. Tracks are fun and challenges are a great addition even though some of them are infuriating. How the hell do you find a secret path? Are they hidden under jumps or is there a way to turn off path?

I've now opened the hard tracks and the difficulty has really ramped up (heh). Finding spots that I am unable to traverse without the utmost precision so stringing a dozen or so on 1 track is going to take incredible luck/skill.

The lure of this game is there are so many options you have to lower your run and there is always just "one more try" to attempt pulling off something that will frustrate your friends to no end. What I really enjoy is I can pick this up and play it for 5-10 minute short bursts unlike other games that you need to invest much more time to feel you've got anywhere with it.

Finally, some of the stuff course creators come up with is absolutely amazing.

The extreme courses are way harder in Fusion than in Evo. The extremes in Evo were more technical and varied where as Fusion seems to have one or two really difficult spots per course while the rest is the same difficulty as a hard course. Only managed to complete the first one so far, the rest I get to 200 faults and then switch course.

Downloaded this game for the X1. Game looks great, plays great. This is my first Trials game and I'm having a blast so far.

Just played the demo, did they change the weight distrubution model a lot? it seems more realistic I guess, but doesn't feel or doesn't feel as fun as the past games. I feel the body always leans forward when falling (which happens in real life) but I'm not liking the feel of it from the demo. Is this something others noticed as well

I’ve unlocked the hard tracks after only a few days of playing and let me tell you the game is pure hell now. Just like the other games in this series the difficulty spike is steep. It would have been nice if they included more easy and medium difficulty tracks before lowering the boom with the hard tracks. I guess the only thing to do is to replay the tracks I’ve completed again with the new bike I unlocked in the hopes that my skill will increase and help against the hard tracks.

I should have stood away from this game. But my desperation for something new and exciting got the better of me. This game should not have been priced over $15. There is not enough content to warrant a price increase unless you count its popularity as a cause.

Go play some tracks on track central, there is a lot of easy/medium tracks on there already. Also, if you aren't already using it, I recommend the Pit Viper for the hard/extreme tracks as well as it's the best bike for technical maps. You need to figure out bunny hopping and a few other techniques so you can do hard and extreme maps comfortably.

Well no one answer me, but I would assume so. Just feel the central of mass should sort of go back automatically when I'm not pushing forward or back.

The tracks recommended by Redlynx don’t display any results so I don’t think that’s working right now. And the user made tracks I’ve played so far are not very good. Most of them seem to forget about decent placement of checkpoints or its done on purpose, its no fun to have to replay a long stretch of a track after a fault.

This is another example of how user generated content is just not very good in comparison to the quality received from the developers themselves. I’m sure there are a few gems created by the community but will have to go through a lot of stinkers to find those. I’ll continue on my quest to tame the Pit Viper bike but I’m already feeling discouraged by the repeat nature of trial and error gameplay such as this.

I have not noticed any differences between Trials Evo and Fusion in terms of bike handling. The rider not returning back to the centre was the same in Evo, but I agree it can be really annoying.

Give it a few more weeks for the good stuff to rise to the top. The best tracks in Evo were community made maps, but the server issues need to settle more and I also think they could do with speeding up the UI in some way. Looking for tracks is really slow right now but that might be server related. But games like these aren't for everyone, some people get very bored and frustrated failing at jumps where as some will spend 30 minutes and hundreds of faults to try and beat an extreme map.

Was it the same in evo? That is sort of what I was trying to figure out if I played evo or not. I know I played the first game all the way through, and enjoyed it a lot. I am thinking the first game didn't have that problem and I was playing ubran trials on PS3 and it also didn't have that problem.

I don't think it was, I remember having to deal with it on extreme maps, but I haven't played Evo in a while so I could be wrong.

Thanks for the input, I couldn't remember if I played the 2nd game (I know that's funny) but I thought I played the demo or something. I think i was waiting on a price drop of it if I didn't buy it. I haven't used my 360 in a few years though. I just felt really strange going from urban trials to the new Fusion game, sort of liked the cheap feeling urban a little more cause of this issue.. atleast compared to the demo. I'm sure fusion gets a lot better though.
