A playable demo for EA Sports UFC will be available next Tuesday, June 3, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, publisher Electronic Arts announced today.

The demo will pit Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson — who share EA Sports UFC's cover — against each other. EA created a poster for the battle; you can check it out below.

EA Sports UFC, which is in development at EA Canada, will be released June 17 on PS4 and Xbox One

I love how organic the flesh is. All the collisions and deformation is truly a next gen thing. I also like how they have systems for blood flushing the skin, and hoe the flesh wobbles!

We should be seeing this kind of thing in traditional fighters too.

Looks great, but how does it play.

Gameplay vids look pretty good. SImilar to THQ's UFC games, the fighters can still have the robotic rock em sock em look to them when they are standing toe to toe trading jabs. But the clutching and grappling looks more natural.

Impressive roster too.

Can't wait to make fighter and give Roy Nelson and Cain Velasquez a beat down!

I wonder if EA will allow mixed gender matches? Ronda Rousey vs. Minatauro would be oddly awesome.

Yeah, the deformation and skin tone changs are awesome. I also love how you do not skate around the octagon. That may seems like a small thing but makes a huge difference in terms of realism.

I do not think that Rock em Sock em approach will work to well. I think they do it in the videos for promotional purposes. If you pay attention to the last video, only a few punches are effective, they are the ones where the weight transitions and body movement are correct.

I to hope we can have mixed gender matches.

It's just like the actual fight...Miesha gettin flipped repeatedly.

Yep

Game looks great and I can't wait. I showed my gf the video and she thought it looked just like watching UFC on tv. I can't wait to beat her ass ^_^

Demo incoming June 3 on both X1 and PS4!!! Gustafson vs. Jones no less! Can't freaking wait!

Yep

I need this demo. Something has just looked off in the videos.

I had a chance to get thru the tutorial and one match this morning before work. Impressions:

- As with previous titles, there's going to be a learning curve. The controls seem to make sense, it's just remembering all of them at first. Forgot how to defend takedowns, parry, etc. Just need practice.

- The graphics and overall presentation are excellent. No ring walks in the demo, but they are in the full game as evidenced by previous videos. Would have liked to see the whole pkg for the one fight, but hey, it's a demo.

- Fighter movement is faster than real life, as many pointed out from gameplay vids, but there is a good reason for that... slow, realistic movement would come off as input lag here. There is no way to have it both ways from what I've seen.

- My only complaint so far is that impact feeling isn't there, or is very low. Not sure if rumble would help, but it just doesn't "feel" like I connected with power shots. Hard to say for sure without more play time.

- Overall I was very impressed. Gameplay seems solid, just need practice on those controls. Submission game makes more sense to me than previous MMA titles.

It feels like you are hitting with water balloons a lot of the time and fighters don't seem to react to hits in a realistic way. But the fighting controls work well.

Looks rather good and the commentary is good but remains to be seen if it quickly gets repetitive .

Not got used to the grapple system yet. Tried to upload a video but got an error message.

Here is my attempt at playing a UFC game lol, I picked Jones. It seems they remove the commentary and ring announcer audio from the share videos.

LOL the collision could use some work but I'm very impressed with this demo. Also, the grappling takes some getting used to.

Wow. I am very impressed by this one. I don't get the collision criticism- I thought the reacted quite realistically( as they get tired and damaged they react more). The interaction between the models is the best I've ever seen. They actually look like they are touching. Seeing the flesh ripple from strikes is awesome.

The IQ is top notch as well. Not a jaggie to be seen, and there are a ton of high poly models. Graphics are amazing

I really like how they've managed to make it mostly intuitive as well. I could see the steps and where I could go during the clinch. There are a lot of controls, and it's hard to remember them all, but this is pretty awesome!!!

That was awesome. Love how you caught with that perfect punch and he just staggered around. Almost got that showtime move of the fence too.

What I did notice(and perhaps why many talking about lack of impact) is that you are throwing moves at the wrong range. You are getting too close for an outside fighter so a lot of the kicks and punches will lack the power. If you do get in close then you need arcing punches(Hooks, uppercuts).

Nice video though.

Thanks ;) That was my second time playing the demo so I'm still getting used to it. I won't lie I do find it to be a bit much having to remember all of the different types of things to do. I love the striking part of it but the ground game is where I start to lose a bit of interest in MMA games.

Here is my first fight lol.

Dammmnnnn! Straight front kick flush to face, nice. Shame that superman punch did not connect as he staggered back of the face. The ground game is usually set up in such a boring and tedious way, that it makes it more a chore. This one seems to be similar, which is a shame, but without actually playing it that is just an assumption.

I noticed you are not utilizing the head movement/bob & weave feature, is that in the demo ? another nice video. Keep em coming :)

I'm awful at being strategic in fighting games, I rarely even block in Mortal Kombat lol. I don't remember from the 18 step tutorial if bobbing and weaving is in, I know it has upper and lower blocking, I'll check it again next time I play it. I do wish we could turn off the ground game or that someone would make a great kick boxing game or something.

To bob and weave you Hold L2 and flick the left stick in a direction. Flicking the left stick(without L2)also does a more mobile evade move-great for a counter punch. Love the 3 stage blocking too. Light Block, heavy block (R2+ punch or kick button) and then you have the parry which is more time based.

Love how the striking system allows you to throw exactly what you want. That is something the Fight Night stick punching lost.

Uploaded this from the Youtube app so the quality might be off. My first fight and as I said I need to get to grips with the grapple system.

A nice little passage of ground game there. A nice little reversal followed by another. Nice Suplex in there for a take-down to. I am little disappointed that you finished the fight so easy with no stamina.

Nice Video though:)
