12 second knock out, nice.

Haha Thanks, I have to be honest though the minute the grappling starts I want to restart the match lol. This game is making me want a new WWE game more than anything. If it was really just a stand up striking game I'd buy it in a second though.

The slow mo replays need they crunching noise from Fight Night 3.

I made a few quick clips with Upload studio, but have no idea how to post them properly here. Any help? I've saved them on OneDrive.

EDIT: Here's a link for now...

And another, but would really like to embed these...

Looks like a seizure in that second clip.

I thought the grappling was well done. I've only played a few games, but the way it's incrementalized, you can see them trying to move position, and you can prevent the transition. I don't know if you know much about the ground-game, but from the training I've had (military- so it's not exactly the same), I can definitely see what they are doing and make a more informed reaction. I think that's pretty impressive for such a complicated fighting situation.

I think that it captures the wrestling aspect quite well. I DO hope there is more rumble to help inform the player. It seems the rumble features have been largely underutilized for the X1.

Deleted the demo now as I'll get bored playing as those two.

My last fight actually went to the last 20 seconds of the 3rd round as I was trying to get the sub but just couldn't do it.

Yeah, getting a submission is difficult, but then again, it's difficult in real life too. I imagine that will take a lot of practice because you have to pay attention to so many things at once.

I am little surprised they did not have a female match up to. Although, judging from the demo size and the ring walks and announcement cut they obviously were trying to kee download size small as possible. Almost 3GB for a demo is pretty huge for consoles.

The announcing is in the game when you play it it's just the audio is cut out of the shared videos, the demo has commentary too but it's removed when the videos are recorded.

Grrr... okay, twice in a row I got full mounted and couldn't seem to get out of it. I tried the 1/4 turns, but only went back and forth from there to giving up my back! Is there a specific command used to get out of full mount??

I've done it by reversing, but I can't remember how(you roll him over and he's now in guard position. Being in full mount is the absolute worse place to be in, so it's logical it would be difficult to get out of). I need to go back and play more. When you quarter circle out, are you going the same direction every time? Because if not, you are just stepping back to the last position.

I've managed a few reversals, but they were "accidental", and I can't seem to do it on purpose. I thought about the direction issue, so I tried all of them - 2 of them did nothing, the other 2 just did the same move in different directions.

I'll keep working on it. As you say, it's a tough position to get out of in real life, so they likely did the same here. Just wish it wasn't so easy to get put in!

Guessing that was someone fro IGN playing rather than a official EA video?

The game is really hurting from not having that feeling of impact IMO. Ruins the gameplay to a degree. Fight Night 4 had that issue before it was fixed in Fight Night Champion.

Visuals decent, 30 fps yuck. This type of game needs 60 fps. I quit after going through the tutorial of moves. Have fun memorizing the moves. It seemed every button press, LS direction press and modifer combo has a different move. Holding RT for basic block is fine and a good thing is you can't spam block as the longer you hold down block the less effective it is, so the best block is to time it, but considering how fast the jabs are I can't see anyone being able to time blocking without spamming it as a precaution in hopes a jab lands after the fact.

On the plus side, it is a detailed tutorial, so if you really want to get into this game you won't be left in the cold.

60 fps would help the game's motions and feel a lot. I expect EA to release another UFC game in a few years at 60 fps. I'll check it out then. Amazingly, TQH's UFC games ran at 60 fps.

Ruins it a lot. As I said in some post somewhere, the preview vids make the game look like rock em sock em robots. Most of the hits don't result in the recipient getting pushed back, startled and such. Even if it's nice flush blow, at most the guy's head turns a bit, but seems fine.

Still getting it but the lack of impact the game gives off could ruin it for me. Just felt like they were punching with water balloons.
