Awesome! I loved the first season, hopefully season 2 will be as great.

Over a year since the heartbreaking conclusion of The Walking Dead: Season 1, the next chapter is set to officially commence next week on the Xbox 360.

In an Xbox Live Game Store update care of Major Nelson, The Walking Dead Season 2, episode 1 has finally received an Xbox 360 release date for next Wednesday, the 18th December. The American pricing for the episode (entitled 'All that Remains') is given as $4.99, with a season pass priced as $14.99, and UK costs have yet to be officially announced.

The second season is already confirmed to star Clementine, Lee's ward from previous episodes, as she attempts to stay alive in and around Georgia during the zombie apocalypse. Player choices from Season 1 and standalone DLC 400 Days will carry over into the coming episodes, and at least one other character from Season 1 will make an appearance.

Thanks, Videogamer.

Yeah, first season really was fantastic. It's a pity this isn't coming out on X1 cos I'm not sure I'll be ever going back to the 360 at this point.

Yeah I am done with last gen and I need to play the whole season 1. I played ep 1 and liked it

I hope an X1 version of season one that doesn't get laggy and frozen during the split second choices. I was really disappointed in how the disc version on 360 performed, never wanted to finish it because I stupidly assumed they'd patch it.

$14.99 for season pass, i'll probably get this.

i usually wait for deals but that's a decent enough price and i assume it includes future DLC.

Awesome! I need something to play.

Just FYI, what they did in the Wolf Among Us series is charge you $5 for the first episode, then $15 for the "Season Pass," which covered episodes 2 through 5 (not 1), for a total cost of $20.

That's not bad you get a free episode.

I love The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us but they keep having the same disappointing issues:

1. The games lag and freeze between frames of scenes, screwing up your gameplay and your overall enjoyment.

2. The release of their episodes take waaaay too long. We're still waiting for the release of TWAU episode 2 but I'm guessing it got date raped cause of TWD season 2 ep 1 workload and their 2 new projects.

They don't acknowledge or fix the technical and release problems nor communicate to the people that buy their game within their own community forum.. but.. they do like to announce a new Borderlands and Game of Thrones series.

What good is it if these newly announced series will have the same problems that have been plaguing their games since TWD episode 1?

Need an x1 port, I want to finish the series but I don't want to play it on 360 and I hate pc gaming.

I didn't notice the lagging/stuttering to much, I bought the games digitally, that might have helped. My main gripe with them was that in some scenes the area you have to explore interact with was so sensitive/minute that I'd end up having to replay the scene to many times, all because I couldn't find that perfect pixel in time.

I got that feeling when I went to search why my disc copy of TWD kept freezing at certain points. I just picked it up a few weeks ago.

How is it they didn't patch the disc based version after all this time? And they blame it on having a 4GB 360, yet I had the same problems on a launch (20GB) 360.

I hear what you're saying and get the same sense from this developer.

Never would have thought I'd enjoy an interactive story/point-and-click video game so much though, so kudos to them for that.....

Confused about this season pass thing though after Anderson's comment.

I assumed getting the season pass meant you get everything including future DLC episodes etc. for buying in full up front for $14.99

If it's "buy the first episode for $4.99 then get everything else later for another $14.99" well then....right, this is why I don't like the season pass idea. You're paying them probably the max you think it's all worth up front without knowing if it's actually good content. If it pans out you save what.....$5 that the DLC episode is gonna cost when it comes out in 6 months?

If that's the case I'll just forget about it and pick it up when the whole thing is 50% off or more some day.

Yeah, you'll save $5. Sort of "Buy 4, get 1 free." I went ahead and did it, because I know I'll buy them all anyhow, but it did seem like a strange way to organize things, a "season pass" that doesn't include the first episode. That's how they did it for the Wolf series. They may do it differently for TWD, who knows.

Exactly, your getting a free episode. I think it doesn't include the first chapter because the first chapter is required to play the rest of the chapters.

Looks great...poor Clem,she better make it ;)...

Loved the first season, this is so good that I hate that it's still episodical and makes us wait for the next episodes for a few months lol...

Walking Dead Season One will be 66% off on XBL from Dec 17th to the 23rd. Anyone who didn't got to play it should definitely give it a try before Season Two rolls out.

I'm definitely picking this up. I played it but it was on my modded console that is banned. I have another 360 but very rearely use it so we'll see if it still works. I want that full Walking Dead experience and see how saves affect Season Two.

I like how the decisions you've made in Season one and DLC affects Season 2 . If Telltales can't keep their word on that aspect, they need to let it go and quit emphasizing something out of nothing.

Same here. They still haven't released Ep 2 for Wolf Among Us. Is Telltale a 5 man team or something? How long does it take to develop a point and click game (1hr episode).

It is my understanding that two separate teams are working on TWD and WAU. I'm thinking they will go with alternating month releases rather than compete with themselves in the same space on a monthly basis. I would think it is a business decision rather than a development issue.

I hope not. TWAU ep 1 was released in October 16th..I don't feel as excited for ep 2 after all this waiting. Ep 2 won't be released until Q1 2014. How are they going to manage this with borderlands+game of thrones?

I'm thinking those two won't release until the other two are finished being released or close to finished. I don't think they will want to over saturate the marketplace with content.

I played the first hour of Season 2, Episode 1, last night. It's off to a good start.
