Both Sony, GG mislead the customers about the MP portion which isn't right, I agree. But what does that have to do with KZ still being native 1080p in the SP portion? So again... my point still stands, the only game out right now that is sub-full HD is BF4 with Watch Dogs as the second game to come out as 900p.
The fact that Single player is not 1080p, support page says that both SINGLE PLAYER AND MP are UPSCALED

Err. Pretty sure Killzone is 30fps for SP and unlocked 60 for Multi...

Sorry, couldn't help it. ;)

EDIT: Here you go http://n4g.com/news/1338457/killzone-shadow-fall-sp-will-be-30-fps-while-mp-is-60-fps

Since you are so adamant about correcting misleading statements :)

Oh, you're right. I always thought it was unlocked up to 60. Seems they recently released a patch in February to allow users to cap it at 30 though.

You're the one that's blind. Did you miss this:

In Multiplayer mode, however, we use a technique called “temporal reprojection". They state nothing of the sort in the SP campaign.

Again, I'm saying KZ's SP is 1080p native, the MP portion is using the 960x1080 method, clear?
They are just saying what they are doing in MP doesn't change the fact that they say that SP is upscaled just as MP is

I only see this.

In both SP and MP, KILLZONE SHADOW FALL outputs a full, unscaled 1080p image at up to 60 FPS. Native is often used to indicate images that are not scaled; it is native by that definition.

and this.

In Multiplayer mode, however, we use a technique called “temporal reprojection,” which combines pixels and motion vectors from multiple lower-resolution frames to reconstruct a full 1080p image. If native means that every part of the pipeline is 1080p then this technique is not native.

Where does it say both SP and MP are upscaled?

Where do they say the single player is upscaled in that specific article. I guess you can put me into the blind category too, as I must be missing it.

Q: Is SHADOW FALL running 1080p natively?

In both SP and MP, KILLZONE SHADOW FALL outputs a full, unscaled 1080p image at up to 60 FPS.

Your statement just proved it's not upscaled... it says unscaled, not upscaled.

Incoming debate on definition of scaled, upscaled and unscaled.

Incoming debate on definition of scaled, upscaled and unscaled.

There's not going to be one unless Kreten still doesn't get it.

It even says in the very support page he posted.

GG: In both SP and MP, KILLZONE SHADOW FALL outputs a full, unscaled 1080p image at up to 60 FPS. Native is often used to indicate images that are not scaled; it is native by that definition.

So the only thing that can be argued is that KZ's MP portion may not be native 1080p and that's it. It's a simulated 1080p picture.

GG: On occasion the prediction fails and locally pixels become blurry, or thin vertical lines appear. However, most of the time the prediction works well and the image is identical to a normal 1080p image. We then increase sub-pixel anti-aliasing using our 1080p “previous frame” and motion vectors, further improving the image quality.

The temporal reprojection technique gave subjectively similar results and it makes certain parts of the rendering process faster. This reduces controller lag and increases responsiveness, which improves the KILLZONE SHADOW FALL multiplayer experience.

Everyone who will be playing Watchdogs on PC, do your happy dance with me!

My 450 dollar with a graphics card that's over 2 years old will run Watch Dogs better than PS4 and Xbox One.

no idea of the context of this post but really dude add up the rest of the PC that the card is instilled in.

Interesting how Sony tried BSing on their web site about WD on PS4 being 1080p/60. But hey, gullible gamers probably believed it and never went back to see the adjusted blurb.

I dont blame them it just PR like when microsoft tried to brush over the sub 1080p rendering by saying that everything was upscaled! so its all all good.

The Hype: Old E3 teasers, PS4 1080p, 60 fps, both 1080p/60 fps together (Sony claim), X1 720p

Reality: PS4 900p/30 fps, X1 792p/30 fps

Yeah, all those insiders, preview clips, claims and rumours were spot on. LOL

I'm thinking about it as my rig can surely run it better, but Im hearing it aint much better on PC.:(

What are your specs?
If you have something around a 670 and a i5/i7 you will be having a vastly superior experience.

Don't be fooled here they actually stated that the PC was the lead platform for this game....hence the original 2012 footage being demoed on a high end PC. No crappy unoptimized watered down port from consoles. This WILL take advantage of PC hardware.
If you have the hardware it is like you won't be playing the same game. Hell the 2012 footage STILL looks better than the latest stuff! LOL.

I'm a PC gamer and that is where I'm getting it. My SC'd 780 is going to be singing praise. :bang:

I thought the watch dogs listing was a mistake, not an attempt to mislead people. They've messed up before listing Trials Fusion at 720p. It was up for 2 days over the weekend before they removed it on monday.

No insider ever said the Xbox One version was 720p. More utter lies and trolling. Pretty much everyone was saying it was 1080p 30 and 900p 30, but it looks like they dropped the res to get a better framerate late in development.

A $450 2 year old PC is going to run Watch Dogs better than PS4? Okay. Build it in pcpartpicker.

The Order is 900p+6.7% in pixel count, and in terms of native resolution it's 1080p with black bars covering parts of the screen. Again somewhat complicated like Killzone Multiplayer that doesn't fit into a sound byte or fanboys trying to score points. Of course kids love trolling by calling it 800p, despite that PS4 is still the more powerful console for games performance.
