What movies have you seen recently?

Quiet Place 2. I liked it a lot. I liked the first one more 10/10, but part two was 9/10.

The first one was unique to me and I like John a lot.

Well we were all expecting to see FF continue being totally unrealistic fun, but based on PV's response, it's beyond that now. RIP.

Glad we chose Quiet Place 2 over FF9 when we went.

FF9 is beyond turn yor brain off action. It is utterly ridiculous.

Quiet Place 2 was good, but it is just the first movie all over again except for the start.

The formula worked though, just wish they had expanded more on

the mean humans at the dock.

I'm sure they'll expand more on this in the spin-off or third movie.

They need to return to the roots of the franchise.
I would fully support that. Maybe they should just start fresh with an all new IP, where it is a spin off from the original? Normal cars, normal plot, GREAT races, GREAT chase scenes. And hot chicks.

There are not enough good car movies out there. Lot's of movies with cool cars, but not a lot of movies about cool cars. Ford vs. Ferrari is the last "car" movie I have seen where it's about cars.

The formula is fine, it just didn't do much to push the series forward. I mean, your spoiler is about something we all expect is present. It doesn't do anything substantial other than lead to where it leads.

The start of the movie is all that really adds anything.

I don't think they can keep going as they are. I fully exprect in the next that they will have a schoolbus with wings dogfighting a swarm of Russian Migs.

Yeah, not many Car flicks today. Shame.

Quiet Place 2 reminded me a lot of
M. Night's "Signs." A lot of the story beats were super similar.

The Eagle Has Landed - Rewatch of one of my favorite unique WW2 movies.

Smokey and the Bandit *4KUHD - Recent pickup during the Prime Day sales, haven't seen this in ages. Dated, but still fun.

Fear Street Part One: 1994 - Let the '90's nostalgia begin! Surprisingly entertaining and violent considering it's based on a RL Stine series. Has some really nice looking DolbyVision scenes (particularly the opening section in mall). Gotta imagine they blew a gigantic portion of their budget on licensing for the soundtrack. I enjoyed it more than I was expecting, looking forward to the other two entries over the next couple weeks.
