I watched the first episode. How gory does it get going forward?

Can't really explain it, but surgical cutting gives me the jeebies.....and I'm sure more than a few medical experiments go disgustingly wrong in it?

Someone getting their head blown off? Love it!

So far it has not been that bad. A limb cut off here, a bowl pushed in there. A big incision & blood everywhere.

I know what you mean though though. I am fine with a lot of things when it comes to gore, but for some reason I struggle with blunt force beatings. The baseball bat scene in Casino for example I struggle with. That fire extinguisher scene in irreversible too.
 
The Knick is great, another good Cinemax show to watch is Banshee...so good.


I just started watching this Ireland tv show called The Fall, it is really good and season 2 airs tonight

Yeah, Banshee was pretty damn good. I also enjoyed The Fall with Gillian Anderson. Will be recording season 2 tonight.

I just got Netflix recently. Comes free for 6 months with my new mobile contract.

So far, I tried watching Orange is the new black, which seems to be promoted at Netflix but so far not feeling it. I feel its directly more towards women.

I also watching From Dusk til Dawn season 1. Quite enjoying it, finish soon. I did started very slow though.

I watched LOST, & Walking dead, & season one of House of Cards. A shame Flash & blacklist ain't on netflix.
 
Blacklist season 1 is on netflix. I re-watched it before starting season 2.
 
Went through Game of Thrones season one this week. Okay, I am on board.

Sherlock Season 1 - 7/10

I enjoyed it for the most part. Cumberbatch and Freeman were very good. However, I am not a fan of the Moriarty casting. He sounds like a ASBO received chav. Nothing like you would expect from somebody who is supposed to be smart and sophisticated.
 
Anyone watching the comic book shows? Namely, Agents of Shield, The Flash and Arrow. All three just had really good mid-season finales. The Flash has started out great and Agents of Shield has improved massively this season.
 
Gracepoint finale - disappointing.

After 9 solid weeks they fell-short at the last hurdle. Another case of a TV show trying to do too much in too short a time. There were some nice little touches though.

I am watching The Falsh. I am a few Episodes behind, but so far, really enjoying it. It is a little cheesy & corny, but it does not subtract from the show, much.
I also started season of Agents of Shield, but only got two episodes in as I had so many shows on the go.

Like what ? It has great acting. The writing is great, it creates this almost surreal story, and creates some interesting characters that always seem to grow.
It really is a fantastic show, one everybody should give a chance.

You haven't seen Breaking Bad?
You are so lucky you haven't seen BB because now you get to watch Breaking Bad!!!!
It's the kind of show that starts off pretty cool, and gets better, and better, and better until the series is over.
 
Anyway, Marco Polo debuted yesterday & I watched a bit. Some people told me its suppose to be Netflix answer to Game of throne, & I highly doubt it can be. Not saying its a bad show, but the charm of GOT is it doesn't central around a single or few characters, but a grand opera with many mini stories & characters that are linked together. But as long as you do not think of it as a GOT killer, its fine as a show.

I just find the nudity excessive, & a few scene uncomfortable, & in most cases not needed. Everything else is pretty decent. Locations & setting are nice & refreshing. I watched only 3 episodes. More impression as I see more.
