What was the deciding factor for you?

Oh look another PS4 vs XB1 thread.
Everyone misses the Tickle Fight thread.
Software lineup, and price. I like RPGs more than any other genre, so if this coming gen is anything like the last one, then PS4 will have a bigger library of RPGs than the Xbone. That said, it still seemed like there were far fewer games that were exclusive to either console in the 360/PS3 generation. The vast majority of games were released on multiple platforms, which is quite understandable from the perspective of third-parties... More versions, more potential customers. There seemed to be far more exclusives back in the 16-bit era.
Lol i didn't even know about next gen until the xbox reveal. My best bud watched the sony one but i was at work and never got around to seeing it but what he told me about it was amazing. Then my local Gamestop told me a day before the Xbox One console reveal that it was coming on and what time. I was picking up Left 4 dead 2 at the time lol The Xbox One reveal was exactly what it was, a console reveal, and I loved it. Every announcement was amazing and i was glued to my laptop. After seeing the Xbox reveal I searched for the sony reveal and wasnt as excited (mostly because my best bud over hyped alot of things and over sold it to me, he's a sonyfanboy) but was like cool!! Then E3 rolls around and MS brung exactly what I wanted them to bring...GAMES. They blew Sony away at E3 but the gamer in me was like the PS4 is still awesome, and it still is an ok console to me. After E3 really sealed the fate I was just holding on to my Ps4 pre-order just because I felt the need to have it just because. From E3 to now MS has gotten rid of the problem (you know who) and has been releasing good news the whole entire build up to it's launch. While Ms are doing that, I am anxiously waiting on GC and TGS because I just knew sony would have a crap load of games. TGS was horrible!!! i love indie games but you cant seel a console with them. Sony consoles have always had bad launches to me. This time i was wishing it was different. They win over fans by taking cheap jabs at MS because deep down they know MS came with guns blazing. There is more to this story but i'll have to end it saying saying this, from E3 up until now weigh out the gaming news. Which console news has you the most excited? Ps4 news or Xbox one news? Who is actually promoting their product instead of bashing the competitor? It is clear to me what console is the better console. I am pretty sure I will pick the Ps4 up next year because I love uncharted and infamous, but my primary, all in 1 console will be the XBOX ONE.Maybe you can start explaining the deciding factor for you?

This is false. Titanfall devs said the best version is on XB1. What other game is coming to Pc? Project spark? Ok thats still cool. You act as if all their exclusives are on Pc. Sony's exclusives are highly overrated, 8-10 hour max, horrible online and generic gamplay. GOW? They are all the same. Killzone? Wow....TLOU was the most overrated game of all time (I liked it but it was not that good to be praised) until GTA came out (sad to say

Where do you see QTE's? If you are refering to Ryse. Ryse has the same combat system as Batman. You should check some of the new videos out. If you aren't referring to ryse IDK what you are talking about lol
Better controller that actually offers something new and has more advanced vibration technology.
Sony has a higher rated exclusives history and far better franchises/developers.
$100 cheaper(this WILL HURT XBO)
Better online services ie plus offers much better/more free games/discounts.
Plus ONE paid account on a PS4 can allow other accounts made on the same machine to play online.
Larger online multiplayer games.
Much more adult like UI that doesn't look like a cheap kiddy Nintendo knock off.
More powerful hardware.
Sexier more advanced looking console design(no big ass brick) most likely more reliable as was the PS3>360.
Brand recognition with a history of WINNING.(pre-orders have PS ahead again)
Better launch and announced games.

PS4 because of the $100 price difference and Sony's exclusives > MS's for me. I normally would go both but priorities have changed and so I will not have the time to game on both.

Hurt much? Respawn has since retracted that statement by saying Titanfall will be the same on both platforms. You sound familiar. What was your name at TXB?
I want everything in one place......movies/sports/fantasy sports/games/online/ live TV/internet/apps.I know this sounds bad but I want to take the computer out of my home life. The snap mode makes it beyond awesome.
Come on Cutting, er, I mean, ValliancE mate.... There is just SO MUCH wrong with this post. A lot of it is inaccurate and some of it seems delusional. Like the controller for example. The vibration technology hasn't made so much as a mild splash since we've heard about it. Definitely rumble triggers have changed the game for many who've had the pleasure of using them. NO ONE has said anything like this about the vibration in the DS4.
The higher rated exclusives is questionable. I can name two games in MS camp that would seriously challenge that statement. I'll let you guess which ones they are.
The UI is more "adult?" And X1 is a Nintendo knock off. First I've heard, but its been stated more times than we can count how fluid and efficient the X1 UI is not to mention the entire interface is voice activated.
I'll give you the advanced console design, arguably. Although I don't agree. Its nice though mate...

As much as I don't agree with this post, I do have to say something:
If PS4 were getting Shadow of the Colossus 2 as an exclusive, not only would I drop everything and jump ship, but I'd also admit that that game will be better than everything X1 has to offer combined.
Unfortunately, that is not the case.. yet. So IMO X1 has the best lineup of exclusive games, best controller, and most innovation.
I'm getting the PS4 because I recently fell in love with the PS3 in general, and the power of the PS4 and the potential support of Japanese developers of the platform are the deciding factors of my purchase. I also just have not liked the direction Microsoft has been taking itself in these past few years. With the always-online travesty and Windows 8, I am just against Microsoft for the time being. I'm a full-on Playstation cheerleader right now and proud of it.
What fanboy bs? You are the one behaving in a hostile manner over a simple post I made that had nothing to do with bashing of a console. The PS4 could handle Titanfall, why shouldn't it? Both consoles share almost the same mid tier PC hardware. Titianfall is running on the Source engine which is known to run on any system from low to high end.

Also Launch and 2014 games line-up is better on X1.
Controller - although does worry me that's its smaller. - I loved the Duke.

In the end, its just a system and I can easily buy a PS4 next year if things don't work out or I just need both.

PS4 for me...
- $100 dollars cheaper.
- Better 1st and 2nd party studios.
- Better controller.
- Playstation brand seems aimed at a more mature/older audience.
- Hate the fact that time/resources are going to wasted on Kinect 2.0.
Those 5 things made the choice relatively easy for me.

Actually much I said is factual and some is educated opinion.
But..Its funny that as always its guess who? The XB fans who attack posts that aren't pro XB. I have saw quite a few foolish IMO Pro XBO posts in this very thread but I have kept my mouth shut but you guys can't help yourselves eh? I sense MEGA product insecurities amongst some of you.
I haven't heard many impressions of eithers rumble capabilities but I do know that the DS4 offers more advanced rumble tech.
Name the two who you think challenge the reality of Sony having higher rated exclusives.. I can't to laugh at what you think does.
I guess you being a XB only gamer wouldn't be able to see how piss poor of a copy cat MS avatars are of Nintendo's style. Yes its more adult looking/advanced then the windows based copy off Nintendo UI's.
PS3 came out late and price much higher yet has more total units sold then the 360. As does the PS2 over the XB and the PS4 will over the XBO.
I hope Microsoft continues to do this. Getting a 60fps game of what would have been a good looking 30fps Xbox One game is the best of both worlds.
