Xbox 360 Titanfall delayed again but it's out now.

They should just cancel Titanfall for the Xbox 360. Time for Microsoft to get serious and force people's hand. It's time to buy an Xbox One if you haven't already.

Between Titanfall, CoD: Ghosts, and Battlefield 4 the One is already the go to shooter console. Then we've got Halo 5 and Gears of War 4 coming still? Holy sh!t.

No thank you, kind sir.
I will be purchasing the forthcoming inferior 360 port once it releases from its well documented development hell for I am a last gen peasant, apparently.

My crusty old 360 will also play, in ultra HD 720p-ish, COD and BF4...

Besides, I don't think One Finger Death Punch is available on Xbox One yet.

The 360 still be like...

If that were the case, we would never see games....every game is bug ridden even after multiple updates. No chance that the Xbox 360 version was still complete crap compared to the Xbox One version?

Well then, why not just go ahead and release 360 then patch it up like they're planning to do with the Xbox One version or better yet release both simultaneously a month later?

What if they kept finding show stopping bugs, crashing and performance issues that still need resolve?

Is anyone double dipping? Xbox One version, which you have now, and getting the Xbox 360 version?

They're going to have to take a risk then. Delay it to fix it up or just release it like they did with the Xbox One with some minor issues. They probably wanted to get the Xbox One version out pronto though.

I have to disagree wholeheartedly. If I was on the team and I couldn't get the game to run properly, no way would I release it to you the consumer. TF X1 worked on day one.

The future is with ps4/x1 not 360. If your business sense is to try to make a little money now, instead of focusing soley away from that, then I don't know. That's on you. COD has been strong for 6 years is it? That future period is much more important than the sagging game sales of 360.

There are 85 million Xbox 360's and 85 million PS3's. That is 170 million consoles...why would they NOT want to provide a game to them. That is almost like free money...and could be a s*** ton of it.

I agree with you totally. Kind of a trifling thing to say about a game that is as good as Titan fall/that also has alot of hype not releasing it on the 360. Just focus on the Xbox one. Not everyone can afford a $500.00 console right now this early into the new generation . makes perfect sense to realese TF on the 360. Also makes good business sense as well on Microsoft's part since as you stated above the overall install base of the 360 is huge.

It can't be all the "content" in Titanfall that is delaying it, because there is no content in Titanfall. They must be having some other problem or it's getting delayed on purpose to encourage people to pick up a Xbox One instead.

Yikes. I was going to get this on 25th. Looks like I'll have to wait bit longer to get it on 8th of April. That's all good, though. Plenty of other things to do in the meaning time.

It's not content. They were not happy with it's current state of development and it needed more work...bug fixing. That is a good thing.

There's no problem with content being made for the previous console. Both the PS1 and PS2 had a long history of games continually made for that platform. There's no reason why that can't be the same for the xbox 360. X1 business will be fine. Just as long as MS doesn't make exclusives for the 360, it'll be alright!

Minus Live breaking down for a bit, but hopefully that was due to a ton of X1s coming online for that game.

It didn't breakdown for me, but then again, I didn't log off. People that logged on prior to the issue, remained on. But that was a coincidence for me, I didn't hear about the issues experienced by others. I was too busy f***ing playing TF bitches!!!

I was inconvenienced by Live "breaking down" for all of two minutes. It was awful!

:(

So Microsoft would convince EA to delay the game so that the Xbox One version could be put in a better light? Is that the general idea that I'm getting from some posters in here?

Isn't Xbox 360 money the same as Xbox One money? Also if the 360 brings in more money, why would EA want to delay the game?

lets put it this way... Do you think its merely coincidence that the x360 version was delayed and then a few days later after the delay announcement the TF bundle price drop occurred?

Well whats in it for EA to delay the game and give people doubts about the quality of the game?

It's possible I guess. But what Yankeessuck said.

if it were 2 months... Sure...

but we are talking 2-3 weeks... I doubt seriously they are making any significant modifications to the 360 version other than minor tweaks and making sure the servers are prepped and ready..

those that are going to buy the 360 version and not upgrading... It won't matter that much..

those that were on the fence, etc..., add in that price cut (during tax season mind you)... I'm sure it pushed a great deal of them to buy it..

Well I assume we are talking about a patch here so an extra 2 weeks could matter but you didn't answer my question. What is it in for EA to delay the game?

More time to get their servers prepped based on lessons learned from the X1 launch would be the initial guess ... not sure but I don't think they're using the azure platform as they did with x1 ...

More advertising... more hype, etc...

2 weeks from a development perspective is NOTHING... they'd have the code locked down by now. I doubt they have distribution issues.. so it has to be either a MAJOR issue (in which case I wouldn't at all be surprised at another slip)... or.. it's something non-code related...

One possibility may be that they're getting an x360 launch bundle prepped as well..

Yeah I'm sure theyve thought about it allot. Especially with TitanFall and a new X1selling for $450 at retail lately, they could just say the 360 version has been canned. But it would be a be abit of a FU move to all the users who have supported Microsoft the last 9 years and and haven't gone next gen yet. Who knows how well it would sell though. Look how Sony kept GT6 only for PS3,it didnt fare all that well sales wise. Sometimes going only next gen is best when fatigue is setting in with last gen systems.

I love the Xbox 360 and i'd like to see Microsoft continue to support it but it gets to the point where they're competing against themselves. The 360's still so good that not many people are going to want to make the switch just for better graphics. Not until the Xbox One's library is must have from top to bottom anyway.
