Double edge sword, you may get some money but you’ll also lose money if pubs and devs don’t come to you. Like you could have a large user base but they may be different than others because of taste. They are slowly becoming an open platform , lots of money to be had by sharing their games as they acquired two huge multiplatform publishers in last couple years.

Didn't they say this got canned
Exclusives matter as it has been said many times before. The problem now is MS seems to want that ROI quicker after closing these two huge acquisitions. Or their current strategy isn't working as well as they thought. Whatever it was , was significant enough that something had to change.

You think they didn't see ROI on ABK in three months so they decided to go multiplat with four games nobody will buy?
The key ABK game(s) are multiplat anyway. I don't see any sense in that.I think they are testing the waters to see how much more revenue they will get starting with these 4 titles. If it meets expectations, more will be coming probably.

More than likely they went with games that are monetized and need a community in SoT and Grounded, and two games that were easy to port in Pentiment and HiFi Rush. HiFi Rush likely already had a PS5 version in the works.
I think they will.At first I couldn't fathom it or wrap my head around it but I think I'd like it if MS instead of going the regular 2 SKU route for the next xbox, developed a regular main console and a handheld unit a la the Switch that was Backwards compatible with Series S/X games and supported Cloud streaming.
I think they will.
The Asia market seemds to be going the handheld route. Would be perfect hardware to support Game Pass and Cloud gaming. The only sticking point is price and power.
Is it really feasible to get a handheld device powerful enough to not hinder the main console or be a nightmare for devs?
I doubt they will ever go with Nvidia after the first Xbox issues. That is the million dollar question. I don't doubt that if Xbox can nail the price and power for the handheld they're gonna have a hit. I really wish MS had chosen Nvidia for their hardware partner as I'm sure both of their engineers would have come up with a novel solution. My bias is showing as I haven't been super impressed with anything AMD related except the Ryzen lineup and their stock prices.
What issues were those?I doubt they will ever go with Nvidia after the first Xbox issues.
If I remember correctly it was all about cost cutting, shrinking chipsets, not sure if Nvidia couldn't or simply refused but that ultimately led to an inability for Xbox to reduce pricing. So, Xbox cut the lifespan and discontinued it due to ever increasing losses. What issues were those?
