Official Thread XBOX Hardware V2

At first I couldn't fathom it or wrap my head around it but I think I'd like it if MS instead of going the regular 2 SKU route for the next xbox, developed a regular main console and a handheld unit a la the Switch that was Backwards compatible with Series S/X games and supported Cloud streaming.
I have said this before. It should be one streaming box with a handheld. The other a next gen console.

I would not be able to tolerate seeing that hideous monstrosity under my TV. I wonder if BB paid for exclusive rights to sell it or were they the only retailer who offered to carry it? Either way...dumbest looking console I've ever seen.

It’s bad. Oreo one is worse though.

Have you seen a PS5?

It doesn't look as bad under my TV as I thought it would. If the panels weren't $50+ I would turn it black. At least it isn't a multicolored mess like the SpongeBob thing. I barely play it anyway, so it isn't noticeable.

Don’t worry, it sold out in under three minutes.

It’ll probably be a sought after collectors item.

Only opened by this who review or influencers.

Has anyone done this?

No. I try to keep the area as dust free, etc. as I can. It would have to be in rough shape for me to start doing that, especially under warranty. Not that I wouldn't. I've taken my controllers apart and have taken my 360 apart.

I don't hear mine at all.
Mine doesn’t make a sound, well, I can hear the airflow lol I gave my dog a bath over the weekend and she hoped for my bed to my desk chair and she was just near it and I looked over and thought “hey, this thing is oldest than my dog, should I give it an extensive cleaning?”

You can blow the dust out around it. I wouldn't bother taking all apart. However, if you like doing that sort of stuff, go for it.

Never hear my Series X either. I have dusted the top where the vent/fan is a couple times while I’ve owned it. Gets dusty.
My S sounded like a Jet engine 2 or 3 weeks ago. Looked fine on the outside, but inside the sides of the chassis with vent holes were both clogged up. A quick clean and it is back to noiseless.

FYI: Love how easy the Series S was to take apart. No prying plastic apart. No fiddly bits. Like taking a PC side off and unscrewing the motherboard. Simple & quick.

I figured Series S held back “cleaning” too.

Anyone ever turn their console on using the controller and it just flashes repeatedly for over 3 minutes being completely unresponsive then turns itself off? The dashboard isn't frozen, things are still animating. The controller light flashes the same speed while updating the controller...which I eventually check after turning the controller back on and there's an update waiting.

Is it trying to auto update the controller and failing? It's annoying as hell and I've had it happen at least 10 times since owning the SX. I've never had it happen on the SS yet.

Only twice, first time I didn’t know why, but second time it was synced to the other Xbox. Resyncing fixed it each time tho

It has happened to me a couple times. I just hold the button on the console to shut down then start it back up. No clue why it does it
