After the conference, I'm taking a more measured approach in this jump to 4K TVs and the X1X. I'll consider again around this time next year if/when Anthem and Red Dead release. Not jumping in during 2017...especially since the next 12 months are mostly about Indies that aren't going to melt my eyeballs on a 4K tv anyways. Might be smart to wait for Oleds to come down in price.

Shinobi was no doubt right on the money.

Matt's claims are in contrast to what a lot of other devs are already saying about the hardware gap.
 
yeah, that Matt got got completely rekt. MS has 42 native 4K games shown at their show. Flies in the face of Matt's claims. Good thing developers are stating otherwise.

Matt will be spot regarding the CPU bottlenecking, but it is still a significant upgrade over the PS4 version.

If you listen to the devs it is the RAM and GPU generating that gap, which makes perfect sense since all the additions X1X brings to games is pretty much all GPU dependant.
 
Just noticed my Xbox was installing Rare Replay and yep it's the full game for free.

Its for watching their E3 coverage on mixer so everyone else that used the app should keep an eye out as they are giving other games as well.

It added like 10 things to my ready to install list. Some is Rare Replay stuff, but I haven't checked out to see what the other stuff was.

Sweet. I watched it on Mixer because Twitch stopped working for some reason. Will keep an eye out.

AWESOME!

Just got got home and turn my TV on and all these pops up came up saying I have a new game. I can tell it's that Rare Replay freebie, but reading the recent articles, I though it had to do with messing around with Mixer.

I never used it. I even hid the tab.

But I still got the free games. Nice,

Something weird is going on.

I'm pretty sure I haven't used this Mixer thing once.

I did watch some Twitch stream on my laptop, then when it stuttered, I switched to a Gamespot Youtube feed.

Haven't looked into it, unless somehow my laptop recognized me using Twitch/YT and Mixer is somehow affiliated with it. So I got credit.

Not sure.

Just a few questions do you think that pretty much all games will be more heavily gpu dependant from here on in? If so the cpu bottleneck may be a non issue? Also with dx12 baked into x1x helping the cpu out and this cpu being a heavily modified/beefed up version do you think it will do just fine? Keeping cost vs performance trade offs in mind...
