It's fake

After seeing the environments in FH4, I can’t wait to see Fable. If that’s what Playground is working on.
I think we could see a more realistic approach in the art direction.

I'd definitely want to keep it stylized but with some super realistic lighting :D

Any ideas on when they’ll reveal it? E3 next year? Separate event, maybe?

Microsoft CEO Confirms That Company Will Continue To Invest Aggressively In Gaming

To be specific, in gaming content, community, and cloud services

Microsoft has reason to feel validated in its gaming strategy- the company earned a staggering $10 billion from gaming over the last year, which was up from over $9 billion the year before. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Microsoft views gaming as a lucrative strategic opportunity- but they also seem to finally understand that they need to actually invest more in the field to be able to get the most out of it.
Which would, for example, explain Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s assertion during a financial call earlier today that the company will continue to invest in gaming, in every aspect from content to delivery to services, and beyond.
“In gaming, we’re pursuing our expansive opportunity from the way games are created and distributed, to how they’re played and viewed, surpassing ten billion revenue this year for the first time. We’re investing aggressively in content, community, and cloud services across every end-point to expand usage and deepen engagement with gamers,” he said.
This increased investment in gaming may explain, for example, how Game Pass has gotten more compelling this year, or why Microsoft decided to increase their investment in first party games. It could explain why Microsoft has doubled down on having the most powerful console on the market with the release of the One X last year.
They’ve primed themselves well to do extremely great in the market in the coming years- admittedly, we won’t see the fruits of their labors for a while, but it’s hard to ignore that they have set up the pieces right. Now to see if they can actually follow through.

Bought Ryse because it was on sales for $10 and I have to say I'm underwhelmed with the visuals during the first battle scene. Maybe it's because I'm playing on a 4K tv and it's having to be upscaled quite a bit from 900p but it looks quite grainy and low res. I'm sure some of that is the insane amount of film grain used but it really doesn't stack up well to the better looking games of this gen IMO. Hopefully it'll look more impressive as I get further into the game but so far nothing stands out as special, maybe at launch it stood out but now I find it to be quite average looking all things considered.

Graphically for being so old, it still holds up. Gameplay wise, it was a little stiff. Still, loved the game!

It looks fine but it's not this amazing looking game that so many made it out to be IMO. Again it could be because it's having t be upscaled and also the heavy (overly so) use of film grain which makes it hard to even see details during gameplay.

Ryse looks great, top 10 best looking games this gen. It's very linear though, so I guess that makes it less impressive idk. The Order looks great too, better than God of war although very linear. Consider the tomb raider sequel best looking this console gen though.

Maybe it did at launch but have you played it lately? I'm also playing it on a 4K tv and the game is native 900p so it's being upscaled a lot more than it would have been on a 1080p set. Then again my tv has great upscaling so I don't know what to blame it on lol, that film grain is atrocious though, I wish we had the option to turn it off.

Like I said I'm also only at the very early stage of the game so maybe things will look better when I get further along.

Yeah, the resolution hurts now that I'm regularly playing games over 1800p with HDR. That doesn't take away from the great modeling, lighting, etc. Well, it does diminish those things. If MS did an X enhancement to 4k with HDR, I think it would be back to amazing. A lot of incredible lookers have come out since that game though...

I just thought it was strange that this was the game some people here were saying looked as good as god of war, it's not even close. It's really hard to tell how good the facial modeling is on the level I'm playing now, when I turn the camera to see the character's face it's so grainy that details are kind of hard to make out except for the low quality shadow flickering on his face.

I just wonder if this is a case of people remembering something based on what they thought at the time vs how it really looks now or if the upscaling really is the issue here. That being said some 1080p games are much cleaner than this so clearly there is more to it than the upscaling. I know I've said it twice already but that film grain is awful.

If you have an xbox one (not x), your xbox scales it to 1080p and then your TV to 4k...I played it a few months ago on my scorpio which upscales it from 900p to 4k, TV do no scaling, looked great.
