wouldn't call that fud....that's more like ignorance.

FUD is more like anything that comes out of the misterxmedia blog about the xb1 hardware.
Actually you have it backwards, "FUD" is not a general term for BS, but specifically stands for "Fear", "Uncertainty", "Doubt". This rumor is designed to give the impression that having a Kinect somehow reduces your system power, whereas misterxmedia just appears to be BS.

Ha! I mentioned this the other day and some thought the idea was crazy. Doesnt sound all that crazy, truth of it. I wouldnt be surprised to hear Microsoft and Nintendo have made a deal to bring Nintendo games to the XBO come E3.
It doesn't really mean anything though. It's about peoples favourite games, just because someone at Microsoft's favourite game is Zelda doesn't mean anything.

One of the higher ups at Sony had a Halo 360 on his bookshelf, that didn't mean they were buying Halo.

That sort of thing would seal the death of Wii U. I know it is not doing great, but Zelda is a game/franchise that has huge potential to change that. So, with that in mind, I seriously doubt Zelda is coming to xbox. Although, I did say a while a go ( near wii U's launch) that Ninty should forget hardware and just do software.

Yeah like eurogamer "confirming" that indeed kinectless xbox will have more power due to removing kinect

UPDATE 04/06/2014 10.25pm: Microsoft has confirmed that this boost in performance is in fact due to Kinect being stripped from the package.

Then I called him out on twitter and he actually researched his bs and did another update

At this point in the game, Nintendo is going to have to do something and in my opinion that is go the software developer route. I think they'd make perhaps the most successful software developer out there, hands down, because their games are just absolute gems and loved by millions and millions of people. Not to mention they would no longer have the headache of worrying about creating hardware anymore. Hell, let the big boys create the hardware, Ninty charges them a stack of diamonds to have their beloved games on their boxes. And we know Microsoft would pay for them.

I still remember a while ago, reading an article about Microsoft offering to purchase Nintendo, but Ninty was a much more dominant force back then so they declined the offer. The Nintendo of now however....may be a bit more open to a hefty proposition if their current standings are anything to go by. An announcement of that magnitude would be glorious though. Glorious indeed!

They are the most successful software developer. Their hardware has only survived because of it. Their software is why 90% of their consumer base buys a Nintendo. I mean, who buys a Nintendo system for 3rd party games ?

It would not be glorious for nintendo fans though or sony fans but it would help MS a lot though I mean the die hard nintendo fans would hurt (some would vow to never support nintendo again) but the ones who are real loyal would be forced to go with an xbox if that happened.

not very die hard then, are they :D

No chance. They turned MS down before and they have a lot more money now than back then.

Would be the biggest news in gaming...EVER but yeah it's not happening.

Nintendo wouldnt stop making games for their handhelds though. But I do believe Nintendo games should be spread about on differing platforms. Just think of it; if Microsoft garnered Nintendo support, it would change the entire landscape of the gaming community and put Microsoft toe to toe with their rival(Sony) in the East, and around the world. Could be just the thing they need to push the XBO over the top for this decade.

Im not saying its going to happen but I think there's something behind it though (MS/Nintendo)

Nintendo lost a lot of money last year, but I read somewhere that they have enough cash stored that they can do that for the next 10 years before it becomes a problem.

I think it's more likely that they release a new console/handheld before they go to software only.

with all this hoopla about resolution and frames, release a console that can run every game on X1 and PS4 at a higher res+frames and they would have a marketing nuclear weapon

I've love to see what Nintendo could do if they ditched their own hardware and started developing solely for X1/PS4.

I still think it's crazy, but if it does happen I'll gladly apologize, just remind me.

Nintendo does have a lot of money. But their market cap has decreased severely since they hit their high during the Wii era. In March 2010 Nintendo was up to roughly 43 Billion Market Cap. Today they are sitting at 15 Billion. Their Enterprise Value is 5 Billion. I think it is misguided to think they could continue on their current path for 10 years. Especially if the losses continue.

For Comparisons sake. Sony's Market Cap is sitting at 17 Billion. Microsoft is at 341 Billion.

Realistically, The can bear the failure of the Wii U. But the successor of the Wii U has to succeed.

Not really sure why we're talking about Nintendo in here, but they could probably have several consoles be "failures" and still keep on ticking. I mean the bulk of their business comes in from the handheld market that they dominate right? I'm pretty sure that the DS and all that crap could carry them for years to come. Makes no difference to me though. After 20 years, I'm tired of all the same old stuff from Nintendo's first parties. I don't plan on buying anything from them anytime soon.

No, they cant. Continued failures means investors bail. You cant bleed money and stay in business. Not how it works.

But to get back on topic.....

Xbox One.....Games.....etc

I don't think so, for consoles price is king for 95% of the costumers. If higher res+frames was important, the only marked would be state-of-the-art PC rigs.

Forza 5 Top 10 Liveries

Woah. It's impressive what people can create in the livery editor.

One Year Later: Talking State of Decay with Jeff Strain from Undead Labs

Xbox Wire: I know you probably can't answer this, but is an Xbox One version potentially inbound this year? Sequel? Super-crazy full-MMO redux? Real-life "State of Decay"-sponsored zombie plague?

Jeff: We announced a long term, multi-title partnership with Microsoft Studios to continue our collaboration on "State of Decay," a game that has sold more than 1.5M copies since its release. That's all I can say right now, but… what would you do? ;)

you know at the beginning he says "xbox, on"... yeah... it turned on my xbox :|

I really don't know how sustainable mobile gaming only platforms are long term though. I think there is a minority that really want to play the BEST mobile games but now that more kids of smartphones, my impression is that less kids care about mobile gaming only platforms. Sure, the games are miles better but if it came down to choosing between a smartphone or a mobile game system, I think the majority would choose a smartphone with more simple games (because let's fact it, mobile gaming is more about passing time for most). I think Nintendo is f*cked on both ends but we'll see.

Yeah, that happened to me as well. His voice through a video worked better than mine. If i don't say it loud and clear my Xbox One doesn't turn on lol.
