Nintendo is the only one who can really get away with this kind of stuff but with that said they were the only ones doing BC at the start of the gen while everyone else was putting out remasters

Man... finally got around to playing Arkham Knight. Never did because I got burnt out on the formula. The visuals (barring the resolution) are incredible. Been having a blast with it...

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like game stores get away with it (from a psychological perspective) because the games use cartridges instead of disks. I know that sounds silly but it almost feels like a different product compared to PS/Xbox games to me at least.

Doesn't count when Microsoft does it because it's still not immersive enough, especially since they never even used the word immersive once anywhere, and it doesn't even have a cool sounding name like Tempest... Pass!

In all seriousness. If they integrate intro DirectX, developers & engine makers will use it. SOund is one area that doesn't seem to advance as fast as another tech, & often seen as an afterthought in-game. Movies do sound & audio so much better, the artistic side I mean.

Hoping the money I've invested in xbox goes do graphics and stability instead.

This is one of the reasons I am getting a Series X day one. Both consoles have pretty crappy launch line ups, but knowing how much better everything I play will run makes it worth it for me.
