Think I've got it sorted. Looks like all the tv settings reset for some reason when I last switched it off
Figured I should provide an update about buying an Xbox S.
You were correct, menace. It didn't help. That isn't surprising. I had tried buying other consoles in the past, and it hadn't helped. I had tried other things over the past 5 years, too -- like trying different genres or revisiting old games -- but that hadn't helped, either.
I'm better off just letting my interest in videogames take its natural course, rather than trying to resuscitate it with these artificial measures. I should just pursue what does interest me and drop what doesn't.

That sucks. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future a product will reignite your passion for gaming. In the meantime, you have other things to enjoy. Have fun enjoying them
Don't put so much thought into it, sometimes I go without playing games for months, just reading about it is always fun to me though. Maybe just let the actual gaming part of it go at the moment and read about games a bit instead?
Yep. I can go a bit without playing or I play some really story heavy games with very little game play. I wouldn't think about it too much.

My One X is so slow that it's hard to motivate turning it on. It still plays 99.9% of the Xbox library to date, but that'll change in a couple of years (I guess lol).

Yeah, I've looked into that too, doesn't seem overly complicated... Can't remember why I didn't bother doing it actually... hmm.

So Microsoft tells me they aren't responsible for the case and parts for the Elite Controller, they just expected me to throw it in a box where it could get damaged even more and ship it back to them.Just received my repaired Elite 2 controller. I now have a $150 paperweight. Is there anywhere that sells 3rd party accessories for the Elite 2? I'm definitely not buying anything from Microsoft

I don't know. If my Elite 2 dies or ever breaks for any reason, I just throw that s*** away. I ain't got time to get repairs or look for parts. I don't know if Aaron Greenberg or Larry Hryb will reply, but maybe voice your experience to them on their Twitter?

I've tinkered with the controllers to try and give them new life. I don't have an affinity for it. If it's an exclusive or elite, I would try and fix. If it's a normal controller, I might try and swap old posts, but no real effort.
