They do when they're getting paid to use it.
How far has xbox come since reveal is incredible.
This system has seen so many changes and upgrades to hardware and software.
Now next year we will start going beyond what's inside the console with cloud compute. Crackdown is its 1st step wait til we see 2nd wave of games.
Remember the xbox slogan 'beta tested in the future'? Its just about here and I'm ready.
Let's revisit this next year.....i'm betting that every 1st Party MS studio will use itCloud is nothing but background noise. Cool noise, but it will not be at the forefront of gaming this gen.

Doesn't matter if every first party game uses it. You get 3 to 5 first party games a year.
So. If we only get 10 games in the next 5 years that significantly push the boundaries compared to everything else on the PS4 and Xbox One, that's still exciting. Bottom line is that the Xbox exclusive developers have more tools in their toolbox to create interesting and innovative features. If developers want to dip their toe in cloud processing to prepare themselves for next gen, they either need a partnership with Amazon or need to develop exclusively on the Xbox.
If any game that uses the cloud successfully becomes a commercial success, I could see some large 3rd parties reaching out to independent companies to use their servers by the end of this gen. It's hard to imagine EA and Activision sit back because Sony is so slow with their own infrastructure.
It is exciting. Never said it was bad or not exciting. It will still be background noise though. There simply will not be enough games using it to push it to the forefront of gaming.
Your bottom line just gave way. Sony has a cloud infrastructure as well.
SONY does not have the servers to back up their service though! If they did they would be demonstrating it now........they have had nearly 3 years of warning!
They have one though. They are just choosing to use it for different things. MS would have done the same if they new that always online was going to be so controversial--which they should have. If it wasn't then the cloud could have been huge for MS. My guess is they are still pushing it with hopes it will spur gamers to go always online next-gen.
I will eat my hat if Gaiki is capable of Cloudengine compute...
Time will tell
It is capable. There is nothing special about what MS is doing, by that I mean others can easily incorporate it into their cloud infrastructures. It is just that MS are the only ones using it for this specific purpose.
I doubt Sony would even go this route anyway.
Sorry menace but that is rubbish, MS have done extensive work in having a set of APIs that could offload processing to the cloud. Its by no means an easy task. The easiest option is something like Gaikai or Onlive where everything is done on a hosted system.
So you do not think a company with vast experience in computer hardware and software can do that? Lets not forget that they bought a company that specializes in creating software for third party use, and they acquired a company who specialize in cloud services.
It isn't even like MS is bringing something new. This stuff has been around for years. MS is simply bringing it to the masses.

You do know Sony was the one said that MS didn't have the resources to do suck. Also that it's not there until another 10 years. So you do not think a company with vast experience in computer hardware and software can do that? Kinda like VR because it's expensive, but that doesn't mean it'll just be burried in the background. It is exciting. Never said it was bad or not exciting. It will still be background noise though. There simply will not be enough games using it to push it to the forefront of gaming.

there already are many games that are always online, think of Titanfall Destiny and new NFSThey have one though. They are just choosing to use it for different things. That is not true, first there is no other game company with scalable servers, second Microsoft OutaTime, Microsoft Kahawai. And also see what I told you about limited availability of sony servers. It is capable. There is nothing special about what MS is doing, by that I mean others can easily incorporate it into their cloud infrastructures. It is just that MS are the only ones using it for this specific purpose.

What does experience with computer hardware have to do with it? Don't you think that MS has more experience in PC world? So you do not think a company with vast experience in computer hardware and software can do that?
