Xbox Live subs..

Its definitly my router. When I connect my x1 to my cable modem directly, everything works.

Bit when its connected to my router, I have the problems again. Ive added my x1 to dmz in router and NAT shows open on my xbox and it says everything is fine. Bit stuff on livefeed marketplace dont load.

For some reason I couldnt connect to the ms server to download the system update file on my pc either, but when I used the vpn and changed my ip, it works fine.

So somehow my rooter has s***listed the ms server I guess. Can anyone help? I have a dlink DIR 880

I have no real idea. I guess you could try resetting it to factory default or even try a firmware upgrade.

I had that happen a few months back. It just went away. My NAT suddenly became strict.

It was like live was "a little" down for a handful of people.

Sometimes the easiest thing to do in this case is just reset the router to default settings and set it up again.

I haven't had any problems with Live and i think my NAT is moderate and sometimes strict last i checked. I tried playing around with it awhile back on the 360 and could never get it to stay open. Yet, when i went to play on PS3 it was always open. Maybe it also has something to do with Live being a closed network?

Ok. I was getting help from 3 different people on xbox support and none could help me. Its definitly caused by my router and I restored factory settings on my xbox and my router. Nothing helped.

My NAT shows open. And testing network connection shows everything is ok. But testing multiplayer connection fails. Also under detailed network statisticd it only gives me value of upload speed, not download.

I can still play games online like Fifa. But none of services works. So no store. No app/games update. No friends tab. No live feed.

Its really strange that even with factory restore of both xbox and router, its still messed up.

Im using a Dlink 880L router. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

Can you browse the web with this XBox One?

I would consider using Google's public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for you XBox settings.

Wild guess, the router has borked DNS and name resolution somehow. Possibly, the router has it's own Default DNS setting. The Xbox is probably on DHCP meaning it just accepts whatever IP Address and Network info is handed to it.

Are any other devices using this router? Try connecting a laptop into the router and see if it has performance issues browsing the web or even playing an online game.

Ok. Managed to fix it. All I had to do was to enter secoundary dns address in manually. In my x1 network settings!

Supposedly there were Live issues earlier today, but I was either watching Hulu or playing a game when this was to have happened, and I never experienced an issue or saw any messages about it.

No problems here, other then the meds....

Down for 2 days? That sucks. MS got to get on it. Wondering if that is all of Europe or only certain countries.

Eh. I was online with my 360 a few times over the last two days and I live in Europe.

What does the Live Status page say for you at Xbox.com?

It says core error. Cant sign in to XBL. European users effected only!

So live has become less rock solid as of late, and some issues arise out of updates. So here is a thread to keep members updated of such problems.
When they arise, and when they are fixed.

I recently got the new update, and it says I'm connected to live but I can't access some things, and can't remove accounts on my console.
My video app has someone else's profile signed in, and I can't remove it.

I'd expect this to continue until everyone has the new Dash.

Xbox faithful, rejoice. Our shiny new update is bringing Host Mode and Recent Activity functions to our Xbox One app. Get all the details here and update now to start enjoying an enhanced Twitch experience today!

Guess how many Xbox consoles were sold? Dunno, they don't tell you anymore. MAUs or monthly active users are counted which is activity from Xbox consoles, Windows PC, tablet and phone.

  • Xbox Live monthly active users grew 30% year-over-year to a record 48 million.
  • Gaming revenue increased $192 million or 5%, primarily due to higher revenue from Xbox Live and video games, offset in part by lower Xbox hardware revenue.
  • Xbox Live revenue increased 24%, driven by both higher volumes of transactions and higher revenue per transaction.
  • Video games revenue grew 47%, driven by the Halo 5 launch in October 2015 and sales of Minecraft. We acquired Mojang AB, the Swedish video game developer of the Minecraft gaming franchise, in November 2014.
  • Xbox hardware revenue decreased 9%, mainly due to a decline in Xbox 360 console volume. Xbox One revenue decreased slightly, due to higher console volume, offset by lower prices of consoles sold.

Microsoft just published its Q2 2016 earnings report. The company made $6.3 billion in profit on $25.7 billion in revenue.

In the EA earnings comference call they stated the installed base for XB1 and PS4 was 55 million at the end of 2015.

If you subtract the PS4 number, that puts XB1 at just over 19 million sold as of 31 December.
