Xbox Live subs..

40 games now. Interestingly one of them is a game called Booty Diver which apparently was on the WiiU virtual console, so the CC is acting as surrogate platform for major releases on other platforms (including Steam), thus further legitimising it, unless its indies dont count week again

I downloaded the batch of free games that came out a month or so ago.... about 10 of them (give or take).

Thetaball isn't bad. Nice polish. It's kind of like a sci-fi version of soccer and hockey. Gameplay isn't great and AI is dumb as rocks. But still a decent indie game. Smooth 60 fps and for a game that is trying to create a sense of a full sports league, it's got some decent stats and depth.

The rest of games are 100% trash. Don't bother.

Actually, Solitaire isn't bad, but you only get 20 free plays. When Solitaire is the second best game, you know the other 8 are dung heap material.

67 games as of 90 seconds ago. A 50% increase in about a month. In addition they are all console exclusive (or not, I'm not gonna check) and 100% brand new IP.

200+ games by January is possible

Sorry to make a thread but this is a semi-emergency.

Just got the email from MS. My Live sub is up, I don't work tomorrow so no Live is not good.

So over to ebay I go and the best deal is $64.99 (Canadian dollars)

Retail it's $69.99 (+tax)

I am not used to this! Last Year I think I paid $40 and the year before $35 for codes off eBay or a sale at Best Buy and retail I want to say was $59.99

I'm cheap when I'm used to finding deals on stuff like this and saving $4 is not feeling like a deal to me.

Where do you guys get your Gold subscriptions from? I looked around and can't seem to find a thread but I feel like I've seen talk here about getting better deals on XBL Gold codes?

I'm always plugging IGN deals. You can follow them on twitter and/or get an e-mail. They keep an eye on all those deals. They just had a link to 1 year of Live for $38 US but they don't last long.

There are deals out there, they just don't last very long most of the time.

I know... IGN, but they actually do a good job keeping an eye on deals. You just have to jump on deals when you find them. I think my Live is good through 2019 now. :)

I just used a s*** ton of MS rewards points to reup another year. I'm not sure I'm ever going to have to actually pay for Live again, unless I use the poitns for the Game Pass next and don't get enough to do Live as well.

I always feel unprepared for this haha.

Those IGN deals look like a good thing to keep an eye on.

I ended up just booting up my Xbox and seeing what was being offered clicking on the different Gold options and the 12 months was discounted to $44 so I jumped on that. Of course immediately went to xbox.com to turn off auto-renew.

If you have to pay regular price, since there's no good deals around, get it at Costco. Regular price is $59.99 CDN.

Once or twice a year, it gets sold for about $45. That's when I buy two. Years back when the CDN dollar was par value with the US, I bought cards on deal for about $40. I haven't seen Costco Canada sell it for that low for probably 5 years, so the lowest benchmark is probably $45-ish.

Turned out I had a deal right from MS through the console, but while I was searching about it I read a few people saying you can't stack Live subs anymore is that true?

never did that anyway but probably a good idea, and s***ty if they stopped allowing that.

$45 is fine. Retail being $69.99 and best deal on ebay being $64.99 got me bothered a bit and searching for help. You got a day off and your Live sub has just expired and your principles and past experience won't allow you to pay anywhere close to that.

You can stack, up to three years.

Unless they recently changed it, I got two years worth earlier this year.

This is the key. When you find that deal for $35 bucks, buy a few of them! No need to worry again for quite some time. :hehe:

Planet 2000 - Planets 1 to 1999 were just the beginning. Looks like a vehicular combat in the ships from wipeout possibly starring a somewhat attractive full motion video woman!

I wish they would make these game more prominent on the main game page. I thought they wanted to blend them all together.
