I think you took Li's post wrong. He's not really accepting it he just knows that there are extreme fans for everything and they get out of control. That's the way it's always been and the way it will always be. Video games are no different. While I would hope it would change, it won't. I have no problems with what Hyrb said. Maybe comparing him to Crocker is a stretch but the rest if what Li said is pretty much spot on.
I agree, and I offered an olive branch in private to Li. I'm hardly a pillar of virtue in that regard, myself. It's just that I experienced the irrational beginnings of this "console war" up close and personal, a long time before I took to the internet. What is a console war? Oh my God! He actually made an offhanded remark indirectly referring to Sony and their new console. Of course, it pales in comparison to the expert job of mockery that those Sony REPS did on stage to Microsoft and their new console at E3.

i have no problems with MS making these comments and taking jabs at Sony, but when you make these stupid disingenuous comments, like lets all get a long, you come off as fake and a phony. people like you eat it up.
Indirectly means without naming but with common knowledge of whom and what he was referring to. Like I could say: "A two word post. Subtle, real subtle." Without naming the poster.

That was one of my favorite tweets by him. It was a pretty clever jab if he was really the one who came up with it.
The statement itself has merit. He may have said it and perhaps he doesn't truly mean it. In the context on him saying it, it may not have merit. If someone else like myself, or you, or Squiggs repeats said statement, in that context it has merit. So like I said, it doesn't matter who said it.

Imagine people spend less time on internet making childish remarks, & back mouthing people etc, & put our effort into something more meaningful subjects, Men may have found the cure for aids, solve world hunger, climate change, & even decrypt what women say, & what they actually mean.
The "hate" does need to go away. We have 2 new next gen systems. That spells awesome for us as gamers. It's nothing but good times ahead.
