I think you took Li's post wrong. He's not really accepting it he just knows that there are extreme fans for everything and they get out of control. That's the way it's always been and the way it will always be. Video games are no different. While I would hope it would change, it won't. I have no problems with what Hyrb said. Maybe comparing him to Crocker is a stretch but the rest if what Li said is pretty much spot on.For a "Moderator" that's pretty r******d. It displays an apathetic willingness to simply accept a deplorable situation, and a knee jerk reaction to any suggestion that it should be changed.
I agree, and I offered an olive branch in private to Li. I'm hardly a pillar of virtue in that regard, myself. It's just that I experienced the irrational beginnings of this "console war" up close and personal, a long time before I took to the internet. What is a console war? A console war is a mental disorder.I think you took Li's post wrong. He's not really accepting it he just knows that there are extreme fans for everything and they get out of control. If it's his job, then he should be able to take the heat. This type of tweet was non-existant last gen, why now? It just seems like he's experiencing a relatively larger amount of hate than before and now he's trying to be all like "come on, guys, tone it down now".
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Just do your job and ignore the hate.
It's just they don't like the way he's dealing with it, but it looks pretty cool from here!Sounds like you're saying he should just ...
You mad at dat rational, level-headed opinion? For a "Moderator" that's pretty r******d. It displays an apathetic willingness to simply accept a deplorable situation, and a knee jerk reaction to any suggestion that it should be changed.
L-U-C-Y, I'm H-O-M-E!You mad at dat rational, level-headed opinion?
That's how I feel too. Who cares who said it. The statement in and of itself has merit I believe. Why does any of this matter? Regardless of what he might or might not have done, either you agree with the statement he made or not.
And the fact is I agree the online hate has gotten completely out of control.
he's human guys. lay off.
And you say itst not genuine? You of all people? Jesus Christ....the statement has no merit when it's not genuine.
I never take console warriors like you, serious, you're so easy to spot. "By their fruits ye shall know them". *LOL*Oh my God! He actually made an offhanded remark indirectly referring to Sony and their new console. Of course, it pales in comparison to the expert job of mockery that those Sony clowns did on stage to Microsoft and their new console at E3. Of course they're Sony so it's O-KAY.
I don't know how I could eat it up, since I haven't even read it. I've just been catching the wave! *LOL* It's one thing when kids get in a scuffle on the ballfield--that's just baseball. It's when the adults start slugging it out in the parking lot that I have a problem with. If you're a kid, go ahead and have fun. If you're an adult, grow up.I never take console warriors like you, serious, you're so easy to spot. "By their fruits ye shall know them". *LOL*
i have no problems with MS making these comments and taking jabs at Sony, but when you make these stupid disingenuous comments, like lets all get a long, you come off as fake and a phony. people like you eat it up.
he's human guys. lay off.
The statement itself has merit. He may have said it and perhaps he doesn't truly mean it. In the context on him saying it, it may not have merit. If someone else like myself, or you, or Squiggs repeats said statement, in that context it has merit. So like I said, it doesn't matter who said it.the statement has no merit when it's not genuine.
totally agree man, couldn't have said it any better. The hate needs to go away.
There, it's genuine. Worship me
