Xbox Series X | S Preorder Help/Info Thread

Mine arrived just after I saw this post yesterday but had to wait until after work/dinner to rip out the X1X and hook up the XSX. I played Doom Eternal (super crisp @ 60 FPS and much improved load times even from USB storage) and Tetris Effect....which Quick Resumed in about 2 seconds. Otherwise been transferring a few games over to the fast storage (MW, Cold War pre-load, Apex, RB6, Gears 5, Ori and a few others) and downloading ACV in a bit here. The transfers are a bit slower than I thought they'd be...taking about 20 min per 50 GB. From Internal to the storage card, it's super fast though....like 50 GB in about a minute. Work has been super busy so haven't had much time to play yet.

MS just restocked, but wasn't worth posting because they had sold out already.

They shouldn't announce these in advance. That may be the only way to stop the bots.

Ok, y'alls probably going to hate me but I just got a Series S as well (for my rec room where I game about 50% of the time)....but maybe I can redeem myself. I used something called ZooLert (https://www.zoolert.com/) and setup alerts at all the major retailers for the X and S.

I did this before the launch and got bupkis for like the first 2 weeks (probably expected as launch allocation was all accounted for). But over the last week I've gotten like 5 hits (4 for the S and 1 for the X) (2 Sams Club, 2 Microsoft Store, 1 <can't remember>). I should have got the S at Sams club but when I was checking out, the site came back as under maintenance and there was another hit for it but it was 2:00am my time and of course was asleep). Got a hit this morning for Microsoft and immediately clicked on it and checked out as fast as I could...lol. On the order page it said ships in 2-3 business days but the order hasn't updated from Pending yet. I'll be selling my X1S and X1X...only problem is that I need another storage card!

Try it out and see if it works for you (note: I am in no way affiliated with ZooLert, just happened to use it and it came through for me)...it may be faster than Wario!!!

I used Zoolerts this past summer to get a Nintendo Switch and it worked great. Thought about doing it again but it seems like half of these in stocks are announced ahead of time.
