Your Personal Game of the Year

Wolfenstein for me, just a great non stop action experience from start to finish.

Agreed. Although after finishing far cry 4 last night I would put it slightly ahead of wolfenstein... the diverse open world madness combined with stunning visuals won me over.

Id got to say for me The last of US. Also Mordor was great too.

As of today, Forza Horizon 2, but I haven't finished it started several other big name games, so it could change.

1. Sunset Overdrive
2.Wolfenstein
3. Forza Horizon 2

Does GTA V count? That game deserves GOTY two years in a row. It's just that good.

Other than that i'd say Forza Horizon 2. Such a fun game.

Forza Horizon 2.

I spent 6-10 hours each with Far Cry 4, Sunset Overdrive, and Dragon Age so each at least gets an honorable mention but I can't put them over FH2 until I get more time with each...such a back log already!

For an Indy award my 3 hours into Valiant Hearts is enough to convince me it is my DL GOTY. Love the puzzles, the emotions, and all the historical facts about WWI.

Definitely agree with Valiant Hearts. DL GOTY.

So far Titanfall or FH2. For those of you still having a copy of TF, it's fantastic with all the updates. Plays smoother, many UI and stat updates, more burn cards etc.... Too bad this game launched barebones.

FH2 is awesome right from the start with the main exception being the lousy loading screens.

Definitely agree with Valiant Hearts. DL GOTY.
I'll give VH a whirl later this week. I just grabbed it off the BF deal for $7.50!

Although I have so many games, I might not get to it for a while. Over the Xmas holidays I'm going to plow through a slew of small scale games like VH, Max, more GW3, Volgarr, Chariot etc.... With some marathon sessions I should be able to finish a bunch of these games in 3 hours each (assuming they are the typical indie game which can be completed in a handful of hours).

Yeah, I'll support that, too. Fine little game, better than most of the big ones I played this year.

Transistor. The game delivers an amazing experience.

You do that then...plow right on through Volgarr and get back with us on that.

I've been hearing that. I have to try the game again. I think I bought the season pass when it was super cheap a few weeks back. TF always had potential, it just lacked...something.

Many of the "big" games I played this year sorta fell flat for me. None were truly terrible but over hype was a big thing this year IMO.

I feel the same way; watch dogs, titan-fall, destiny, all just felt like rehash games and i was sick of them in a week or two, I have yet to find a game this gen that has kept my attention for more than three week. lord of the rings was great and would have been my GOTY had there been some sort of co-op MP, farcry 4 could also had their cop-op been not complete s*** and limited to two players. GTAV is great on the one, but it was just as fun on 360 and the fact that they still don't have heist made me want to burn my disc. Horizon i only bought because i'm a forza whore and knew i wouldn't play that more that two weeks and that came true.

What i need is a rainbow six black arrow, a fallout or something with a 4 player co-op . So my 2014 game of the year is from March 18, 2008......

Dragon age is so additive! It's the type of game that remind you why you are a gamer.

So hard to put the game down. I haven't have this feeling since the witcher 2 & deus ex, & mass effect series.

This year is tough to choose. I played a lot of 'small' but super fun titles like Shovel Knight, Isaac: Rebirth, and Hearthstone, but I'm not sure I'd put them up for game of the year.

Maybe Divinity Original Sin? I haven't made it through the game yet but the music, visuals, gameplay, and rpg feel have been good so far.

Guess I'd have to say for me it's either shadow of mordor or far cry 4.... they were the most enjoyable ones I played...
