Sorry, but i'm just not seeing it. Looks like another L for Microsoft. Not sure what the point of Scorpio is if it's just Halo, Gears, Forza, and a few multiplats running in 4K. Isn't that what a PC is for?

NG/BL3 exclusives on Scorpio would be SUPER MEGA PURCHASE worthy.
I already am getting Scorpio but my son a *cough* former Xbox fanboy said if BL3 is coming exclusive to Scorpio will will want a Scorpio(as of now he doesn't and rather play Zelda switch)

So if rumors are true....

I've thought about it a lot, actually. What could they really have? Outside of like Ninja Gaiden and maybe one other third party exclusive deal that will just come to PS4 later? All their first party devs are tied up doing Halo, Gears, Forza. Phil said they're not big on third party deals anymore.

So either Halo 6, Gears 5, and Horizon 4 are pushed back until Xbox Two and 343, Coalition, Turn 10 have all been working on new IP or what? Not happening. There is absolutely nothing new they could have unless they have had secret first party devs that they assembled overnight working on games and then they'd be showing games 3 years away anyway like Sony. Can't wait to see that narrative change.

All scorpio games after launch will have visual advantages over pro. Slight to decent differences, it will be the visual king on consoles.

They aren't saying anything so all you can do is take an educated guess, and a poor one at that. This is what happens when people want to know what you're working on while being discreet. They guess, gander, take a stab at it. Typically what happens after they discover what's actually going on, they hate. You're stance doesn't surprise me in the least. We'll see about the narrative indeed, come Sunday.

I expect the games on PS4 to take a hit in visual fidelity against Scorpio - of course. I'm good with that though. Again, I don't care about pixels and frames. There's seriously some great content on PS4 I want to experience. Scorpio will be my main box though. No question.

That's not enough to crown it MP king.

I will have the ability to buy any version of these 3rd party games and guess which version I will buy?
The same version I buy now even though I have a 1080ti equipped PC....
The PS4 Pro... Cause GAMEPLAY is the most important thing,I like my bling bling in games,more active online players and PSN/PS online setup/UI. The most.

HOWEVER in single player MP if they also aren't on PC...I will get the Scorpio version.

That would be fine if Phil didn't say they were investing heavily in first party 3 years ago. This is his third year running the ship and it's leaking like a bastard. Where's the investment, Mcmasters? Seriously, how many more years do we give Phil before we realize there aren't enough lifeboats to survive that freezing cold Atlantic Ocean water? I'm getting off, you should too.

But there isn't parity, so it will be awesome to see the Scorpio do the best with MP games.

This is true and the gap is widening
Scorpio is the life float being thrown in the water but will it have enough air is the question?

Sony will be showing a ton of games again, some will be new as well as longer looks at games announced last year, MS is probably going to show games that were announced ages ago. MS started a really bad habit this gen of announcing games years before they were going to be ready, I know Spencer says they won't do that anymore but we'll see. Just don't forget both Halo and Gears released in the last year and a half, those devs will be nowhere near ready to show anything new. I'm sure we'll see 4K upgrades to older titles that's a given, maybe some games coming from 2nd parties that haven't been announced yet and I'm sure there will be some 3rd party games on their stage that they have gotten marketing deals for just like with Sony's conference.

Showing the hardware will be a challenge just from quality 4K streaming, HDR etc as well as the fact that there are no exclusive scorpio games.
 
Yeah. Remember devs of project racing (whatever it's called) saying they won't hold back Scorpio version. I'm gonna say there are plenty of devs who feel the same.

I was surprised given that MS is launching new hardware that they are going with a smaller space than before.

Sounds good but already get a racing game every year.
We don't need another released on top of that unless they drop one of the 2...

Only this time on Scorps, both of these games will likely look stellar. May be the first time having both is a good thing. Forza is a given. That's all ready bought. PR #2 may be bought too if they get the handling right.

I'm a console player, Scorpio > Pro in visuals to take better advantage of my nice TV. Never had a problem finding games on XB1 with active players lol

That's your perspective but not mine.
PS has more players(fact) and better communities (opinion)
Not only do I like PSN/PS4 UI better but I don't like XBL/XB UI at all so this is a factor to me as well.
