Forza Motorsport 7

GT Sport looks fine. It basically looks like Forza 6. Forza 7 though looks awesome. Outside the better visuals it jus looks more intense and real. The shakes and rattles of the car looks like you are pushing these cars how they meant to be pushed. The sound of the shifter in that Porsche is lovely.

It looks like the game is using Frostbite. I know that its not, and that's meant as a compliment. It just looks so detailed.

When they showed the desert mountains in the reveal I thought it was Battlefront 2.

Forza 7 on Xbox One X will obtain the identical outcomes as “a multi-thousand dollar PC”
19.06.2017 13:17
Forza 7’s Chris Tector says, “we’re going to have people playing at console, native 4K, 60 frames a second. It’s going to be awesome.”

Forza 7 is likely one of the few native 4K first-party video games on Xbox One X and so after all, Digital Foundry put it to the take a look at, pitting it in opposition to Forza 6 on PC.

“I feel like in takes a note out of the Forza apex book in terms of matching the visual quality of the PC version maxed out in some respect,” they mentioned. “It’s quite close.”

Chris Tector, software program architect for the sport’s engine advised Eurogamer that they’ve “all the time tried to hit native decision as a result of we wish to have floor valuations occurring per pixel, as a result of we’ve got these onerous, clear edges.

“Even at 4K we nonetheless have a bit of little bit of aliasing, however that’s the kind of stuff that we get to work on heading into the longer term… I do know there’s different methods and different folks will wish to use them for his or her high quality choices however for us, with the ability to get these little streaks of specular you’ll get off the observe.

“These are like pixel level things or sub-pixel levels things you’ll kind of miss out on when you get into approximations that aren’t running at native resolution.”

Referencing his comments on “highest quality pixels”from final yr’s Scorpio reveal, Tector defined that “It’s what I used to be getting at once I mentioned ‘uncompressed pixels’. Even while you go to a film on the theatre and it’s projected at 4K, it’s compressed and it’s working at 24 frames a second.

“And video games – simply normally – video games at 4K, they’re natively rendered, proper? They’re the cleanest, uncompressed pixels that you could see they usually’re rendering at 60 frames a second – and the actually cool half is that we’re doing this for console avid gamers now.

“So rather than hoping you can afford a multi-thousand dollar PC that can achieve it, we’re going to have people playing at console, native 4K, 60 frames a second. It’s going to be awesome.”

This is most definitely why Forza 7 requires 100GB of free space at launch, making it one of many largest video games ever.

Am I the only one missing the flashing of flash photography in the stands that was once prominent in most racing games of yore?

Now that you say it, yes I do like the flash photography in racing games. Haven't noticed it missing tbh but I think I would prefer it to be there, if only for nostalgic reasons.

To make it accurate for the present they should show the back of the heads of all the crowd as they all take selfies at the track.

Yeah, and it would be even better with HDR! I'm not even kidding, lol.

In a lot of ways, I'd say, during game-play- Replays are a different story. GT Still has the corner on realistic light rendering, though Forza is getting closer. Diminishing returns are real, though, and I think getting to 4k vaults FM7 to a place it wouldn't have achieved otherwise.

I really like the look of Project Cars 2, though Youtube never tells the whole story. I know that PCars One looks great in vids, but on my TV it looks like ass. The DoF is a pretty garbage implementation (at least on console).

The flash photography is there when the crowds want to take pictures of good racers. That is why you never see the flash.

Indeed....but where's the m/k support we were told, two years ago :)

Yeah, I have no idea why they haven't added it yet. If they officially support it, then they can start officially regulating the usage of it. As it stands now, they don't officially support M/KB support, but they aren't blocking people from using third party devices which allow M/KB, like: ChonusMax, TitanOne/TitanTwo, Xim4 etc etc... so currently the option is to use your controller and play against controller / kb/m or to purchase a third party device so you can choose whichever you want.

What are you talking about? GT Sport is the best looking racer since DriveClub. There's really no debate there. Guess it's back to the blue blood for me. Someone always has to ruin my mood with their fanboy politics.

You're Fuking high if you think any racer anywhere looks better Forza 7 at this current time.

The game looks great. I wish I could share everyone's enthusiasm over this. I'd be excited if there were completely new courses, but I'm extremely burned out playing the same exact tracks game after game with only a handful of new ones.

Get Project Cars 2. Apparently it has 60 tracks.

Actually GT Sport does look better than Forza 7, if we're comparing the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the games. Obviously Xbox One X will run Forza 7 at 4K and give it the edge but that's not fair. It's an apples to oranges comparison to begin with. Sony has two versions of the game that look better to Microsoft's one.
