Assassin's Creed Origins

I haven't killed one yet. I almost had one, but then backup showed up

Even if you see one of the alone in the middle of the desert, watch out for back up when you attack. I’ve killed 5 or 6 of them now and every one of them has called for backup even if I’m miles from anywhere when I attack them.

I just lore mine into no mans land and royally ass rape them.

I haven't had thdm get backup this way like D-V-Ant has, but I have only killed two thus far.

I really like having these OP threats in the game. Makes it fun to take out an entire outpost while avoiding them while they look for me :D

I saw some vultures start packing at an animal I had killed. Cool little detail.

GTA logic.

GOT ONE!!!

He's actually a higher level than the one who's been killing me over and over, lol. Much easier when they don't have their little buddies filling me with arrows....

Wait till you meet The Stranger (say it in a Heath Ledger Joker voice):smash: He hits harder than Tyson on a roid rage and combos everytime. His counter of parrry is one hit killing me.

But I will have my vengeance, in this life or 100 hundred lives from now:crazy:

Game is really superb. I love the character interaction. The open world vistas edge up higher in visuals than W3 and Horizon. Pretty surprised at how well this game is put together.

Did I ever tell you how I got these scars?....

Enjoying the game quite a bit. I feel like it starts dragging on story-wise later in the game. Don't know how much further I've got to go, but I started mucking about with a lot of side-quests and treasure hunting because I was losing interest in the main narrative. I've killed all the Phylakes at this point and I think I am currently on the mission at the end of that. Also don't really like how long it takes to level. All the skills I've yet to get are trivial ones, but I don't like not having them when I'm max level. Guess I need to track down all the ancient tablets to get more skill points.

everytime i run around in this game i think "man how far have game visuals come"

huge credit to this team for creating such an incredible world

Everytime I play it I think man, if only they had listened 10 years a go.

But yeah, visuals and game are great.

Origins looks MUCH better, but not as impressive when you think about it being a decade.

Diminishing returns, Baby! Still, the devils in the details. The real thing there is

- the resolution difference
- the stuff in the distance (outside the city area) isn't
an illusion in the new games
- NPC and object density
- light rendering and geometric detail is orders of
magnitude more complex

After all that- it's still Assassin's Creed...

Agree on all points. I think we should be much further along than we are.

Yes!!!! f*** yeah!!! FFXV did it first!!!

Rocks! The definitive difference of next gen!

"To create realistic terrains for Assassin's Creed Origins we also used photogrammetry," says Trottier. "We sent a team of experts to locations where the rocks, pebbles and ground resemble the ones we wanted to feature in Origins. They took dozens of super high-res pictures that we then imported in the engine to create a wide diversity of terrain textures that look so close to the real thing that it's sometimes very difficult to tell the picture from the in-game asset."

It's so convenient when those rocks are located next to a 7-Star resort in Dubai!!!

Frozpot is right. I feel so whack now, my first name should be 'Nick-Nack-Paddy!"

For comparison.

The rocks from Unity.

And now, the glory of the rocks of Origins.

Behold.

Wow!
They must be collaborating with the Final Fantasy team...

i dont think it means higher textures, just that you will see best quality of texture for longer distances

Well, with 118 hours, 4 minutes and 25 seconds on the in game timer, I think I'm just about to wrap up my time with AC: Origins. Completed all Locations, all missions/side missions, located all the papyrus weapons, and all the Phylakitai (sp) are dead. One last achievement (taming a lion and having it meet a croc) and I'll be done. Had a great time with this game. In my opinion, it may damn well be the best in the series.

I really hope the DLC gives us a use for all the leftover Carbon Crystals and Silica since there's no way to sell it.

Edit: For those of you who might be having a difficult time with the "BOOM!" achievement. Go to the Kibotos Arsenal in Alexandria. Those red jars are f-cking everywhere.

I'm missing a phylakitai he doesn't show up anywhere it's very frustrating.

Respect for completing all the side missions there's so damn many and now I finished the game don't feel compelled to complete them.

Will probably fun through the map and complete all the outposts and what I can then put it away. Only clocked around 60 hours but has been an amazing game and glad they took a year off the franchise to deliver an experience like this.

Been playing this since Christmas when my son got it for his gift and all I can say is wow! What a fantastic looking game.

This is my first AC game and I've only played about 5 hours but I thought the combat felt kind of like a button masher. Does it get better as you get further and with improvement on the players part?

Nope. I honestly prefer the old way. At least it was it's own thing and not a poor imitation...
