Call Of Duty: WWII

Game is dope. Multiplayer definitely has that old COD taste (the one we love!). The multiplayer modes are pretty good! Of course i started with TDM then a bit of WAR (Pretty good so far) and just recently Grid Iron! Gridiron is friggin awesome.

But....I can't believe that in this time of 2018 (Basically we're there) a game from this publisher still doesn't have dedicated servers. It is mind boggling. I skipped the last two or three COD games (Advanced warfare left a disgusting taste in my mouth) and I didn't even think that they still don't have dedicated servers. It's kinda amazing lol.

Like I said, as an old COD fan the game is dope definitely better than I thought but the connection issues, lag, host migration and even the lag compensation BS is still here.
 
I should try out some gridiron I been playing war lots so far. I love the D-Day map I wish we could have like 30 on 30 and scale the map a bit bigger it could get intense!
 
Are the servers better today?

I'm getting X on launch day and will download a digital copy that night.

Here's hoping it smooths out by then!
 
man this is the first cod i played since blops 2 that hasnt made me want to blow my brains out

i cant believe they made a COD game i can enjoy again

its not just that there is no jetpacks((although it is a huge part since i dont have to look at billion places) i am gonna say blops 1 level of time to kill helps, i just hope they make health recovery faster.
 
Servers are s*** again tonight. For the last two hours after each match it gives us a “server disconnected” message and kicks us out.

Game is great I love it when it is working. Worst COD launch I can remember. Every day has been issues.

Got the game just now. No 4K patch :(. Must be getting released tomorrow?
 
I'm guessing the number of unlockables is slimmed down compared to previous CoDs?

As a stat whore, when the game is bombing out, are you getting tagged with a loss?

I’m not sure if it was giving us a loss. I did notice it was not giving us the KD or wins after the matches. All it was giving us was weapon xp and overall xp. I’m taking the week off from this game. Hopefully they will get all these issues fixed. It still did not give me my preorder bonus (free weapon unlock and 4 hours double xp) either.
 
Game was sweet playing. Online was fine. Except sometimes you do get thrown into another match right away. You got to mash B button sometimes and hope it backs you out.

But overall, good game. War is a decent, but more of a diversion. No k/d tracking. And none of the kills/deaths carryover to your overall stats. But wins and losses do.

STG44 is a good gun. It unlocks at level 15 and it can do just about everything (jack of all trades.... like an M4 from CoD 4)

UI looks good, but man it's clunky with all kinds of tabs to flip through. So for once CoD menu screens look sleek, but it doesn't translate well to usability.

Game looks solid on X, even on a 1080p tv. I'm assuming it's enhanced as it looks and ran better than a typical X1 CoD game.

Still not sold on this years COD. Nothing interesting enough for me to buy, it has all been done before. Just take me back to the cold war and I'll jump in.
 
FYI, when I first started up COD WW2 on my X1X, I couldn't connect to ANY multiplayer. I kept getting an error that was like A, B, C, D, E, F, G, L, M, N, O, P or some s*** like that. It said to check the status of the service at www.callofduty.com/wwii/status or something like that. I went there and found everything showed no issues on Xbox Live or PSN.

Then I googled the error message. Someone got the same message, but it was from an older COD game. They said they just did a hard reset of the Xbox, and that made the error go away. I did just that, and the error went away.
 
COD WW2 still running like s*** on MP. Disconnected from server after matches, black screen that freezes the game and you have to dashboard, loading screens that just hang up and don’t load, can’t pull up dossier screen to change your personalization stuff, but when you get into a match it runs fine and the game is fun. This is so damn frustrating.

I haven't had those issues. I hope i don't :( That sucks dude.

Ah that sucks.

It's been fine for me the whole time, except sometimes when I did some TDM and it throws you into a match unless you mash B to exit.

When we played, it was fine.

For me, the P2P/pseudo-dedicated servers are working well.

I've only had one game bork out (said something about unable to connect.... not sure if that was my connection or server), one game go to a host migration screen (which the match carried on fine), and the rest have played fine.

For those of you on the fence about the game......

I'd say CoD WII has a very similar feeling to MW3/BO2. It's not as slow as the old CoD CoD 4/WaW games, but definitely not like recent unlimited sprint/jet pack CoD games.

In WWII, you have limited sprint. I'd say the amount is about double what you'd get in old CoD. Maps have a semi-cluster fuk layout, so think about the first time you played MW3/BO where the maps were very different by being rat mazy. There's not a lot of campy places you can hole up all game.

On the plus side, this game has by far the greatest variation in game style.... run n gunners, snipers, shot gunners etc.... Everyone can do well and it's good to see this. Last time I saw this much variation was CoD4/WaW/MW2 era.

Also, for you guys who hate stat whoring, the War mode (only 3 maps though), is strictly wins and losses. No kill/death tallies, no k/d, none of these stats carry over to your overall career stats. The other stats like wins/losses, and I think head shot % and accuracy actually do track.

You can play the mode as a meat grinding objectives getting killed 50 times, but none of those stats calculate.

I always play TDM, but decided to do War... hey I'm a stat whore. But I have to say, half the guys sit around doing jack shyt. Pretty stupid as kills/deaths aren't even tracked. Weird.

I think the biggest drawback is the Headquarters social mode. You run around in third person in an army camp visiting different tents, doing stuff, buying contracts tasks etc..... Waste of time. Better if you could just do it all in menus like BO1. Do I really need to run to the mail tent and open mail that says I get $100?

Just tried WaW on X1X. 580mb update for the game????

Not sure what improved. The textures look similar, but that 16x AA thing improved the jaggies a little bit. Sill some jaggies/shimmering. Who knows. Some upclose graphics look cleaner, but I'd say nothing really much improved.

2,000 people still playing!
 
I suggest following Activision Support on Twitter and you can see all the problems they’re having and progress they’re making on fixing problems. Just saw they took down their dedicated servers for the weekend and are running strictly P2P.
 
Today game is running fine in matches and nothing but problems after matches. We very seldom get to play two matches in a row. Lost connections, black screen, splitting up the group, after match screens not loading, can’t connect to a friends HQ. They really need to fix this s***. I’m playing great in this game now. My K/D is up to a 1.23 and steadily going up.
