Call Of Duty: WWII

Can't wait to rack up the k/d in another CoD game. And this game doesn't have unlimited sprint which run and gunners rely on.

Already saw vids and the MG15, BAR and Lewis look beastly. Lewis is just like DP28. DP28 is the most underrated gun in WaW. Used it exclusively. But Lewis has this big rectangular aimer?!?!?!

Wonder how close my WWII stats will be compared to WaW..... w/l 2.09, k/d 3.35.

My buddy played the beta and said if you like the older CoD games, you'll like this game. Slower, no unlimited running, more recoil etc.... And of course, since it's WWII, no roof jumping Titanfall type movement.

He estimated map size is similar to old CoD 4/WaW maps.

If you're a game who like TF or recent CoDs that are super fast, with jet pack jumping, you'll hate it.

We will have to get some matches in next weekend. A couple of my buddies will be on the beta.

So what's the general consensus of this game? Is it worth a purchase to those of you who has played the beta? I was excited to see Call of Duty return to WWII.

The idea i got is it's going back to its roots with no jetpacks.

What was your score per minute for Waw? A high KD is meaningless if your score per minute is below average. It's faster than Waw. If you rely on camping you're going to be disappointed with this game based on my experience from the beta . I play aggressively and had no problems with any campers.. free kills. A camping play style does not have the perks to use to your advantage like it used to be in the older cods. That's a good thing imo. Playing it again on Xbox come this Friday, since that's the version I will be playing on come release date.

There is no SPM in WaW. That metric didn't come in until I think MW3. But in WaW, I avg a score of something like 15-4, 18-5, 20-6 and such. It's actually higher now as BC had lead to many noobs playing, so my k/d is probably 4 since playing the past year.

w/l and k/d are the most important metrics IMO. Very few people have w/l of 2+ and k/d of 3+ like me, so it shows my game style works and helps the team win.

You look at most people's wl/l record and most people can't even do 1.00 w/l.

A high k/d leads to kill streaks too. Someone who run and guns and goes 15-15 is probably getting no kill streaks except for maybe a 3 kill UAV. They are getting killed too many times to build up kill or score streaks.

SPM is actually a poor metric for how well someone does.

All SPM means is that they get lots of kills. That's fine if they go 18-5. But someone who goes 19-25 actually has a higher SPM but hurts his team with a -6 kill differential.

What SPM should do is minus off pts for getting killed, leaving some kind of "Net Score per Minute".

Since I play TDM for most of my matches, it's all about k/d and having a + kill differential. If you and your team have a better kill differential, you win.

To show how lousy SPM is as a measurement, someone playing TDM where a match goes up to 75 kills, can have 74 kills, but if he someohow died 75 times, the team still loses.

As for CoD WWII I haven't played it yet, but my buddy says there's campy spots and betties are unlockable at something like level 20. Can't wait.

Tell you what if you're in the beta this Friday join on me and I'll play on the other team. I guarantee you'll leave before the match is over .Lol

Based on a sample size of one who played it.... my buddy..... all he said is that you'll like it if you want some CoD action similar to older games. Slower paced and none of that jet packing stuff at turbo speed.

And gunplay is going to be old ass iron world war guns with basic attachments. So if you love all that thermal scope, ACOG target finder kind of sci-fi stuff, you're out of luck.

So it really all comes down to if you want boots to the ground + WWII, or the recent trend of CoD games lately which is sci-fi, fast paced, unlimited sprint and Titanfall kinds of movement.

If you don't think you can get back into the older style of CoD games, probably better to skip it.

I never liked the newer CODs.

It's better than the last 3 in my opinion but still not great.

I guarantee he won't. I've played with him on the older games. Dude is a camping beast lol.
I live for camping. Taking out the run and gunners is so easy. I love to hear them rage at the match end.

Camping in military games doesn't bother me at all. It's a far more realistic and expected action than run and gunning, which would get you killed IRL.

The problem in new COD games is you either camp or you just kill trade. I run and gun and all I do is spawn, kill someone, then die to someone spawning on me (usually the same guy). Rinse, repeat. The only way to be really good at that style of play is to have insanely fast reaction times. Throw in wall running and other stuff and forget it. I think my k/d in the past few games has been right at 1 most of the time. I don't care enough to camp, so I just kill trade.

I preordered a digital copy last week, I got a msg on XBox Live saying I could now download the beta, but I can not find it anywhere to download. Tried restarting my XBox and nothing. Not under the ready to download either. WTF!

Found out from someone to get to the beta on XB One go to the deluxe edition on the store, then the season pass, then pick then beta, then click it again to download. I'm installing now.

I'm ready to try this out after work tomorrow!
