I'm sorry but I don't know what to think of this. I know it's an old build but this does not make me want to run out and get an XOX when it becomes available. I guess I'll just withhold judgement until closer to release date.

Yeah. they keep showing the old build. They're giving people mixed messages here.

Videos that are old, playable builds that are old, trailers featuring old footage, random pictures that: stuff that looks old, stuff that looks new, stuff that looks like neither. Then they're telling everyone to tune in for the SDCC, then they say they aren't streaming it. Lol.

It feels like an amateur effort in getting information and media out here. Pretend you've done this s*** before.

I love CD, and I'll be getting it no matter what. But I have to agree, for anyone that hasn't played the game yet that is maybe considering it, or maybe buying an X1X to play it....the gameplay videos so far haven't been great.

Hoping they show something 'wow' worthy at Gamescom, or at least before launch.

It is weird the way they are pushing this game to the public. You would think they would want to build hype for this.

I'm still excited because I was a huge fan of the original.

Yeah, I loved both Crackdowns and will more than likely get this but nothing has blown me away about this game yet.

or maybe that was the newest build? Dont think they had the car playable in the e3 version..either WA ill probably pick it up being that its a launch game

I'll get this game but, I just watched the comic con video on CD #3. Microsoft is Fuking up on this one. They can't afford to look this bad to the public. For shame, really.

Just saw the streams. I'm embarrassed for Microsoft's execs who are responsible for 1st party and feel bad for the developers. Honestly Crackdown would've been fine releasing early in 2018 as a sequel to Crackdown and nothing more. This game is breaking due to its hype and the promises that it would change gaming. I truly believe if Microsoft still believed the multiplayer would achieve the lofty hype they originally gave it, we would've seen it by now.

I just think Sumo is over their head. This really isn't their fault. They're AA developers who aren't known for face melting graphics or technical wizardry but they have to deal with this hype Microsoft created and now the backlash that MS is deservedly getting. If Microsoft would've waited until this year to show the game and not hyped it to be the 2nd coming and be the only exclusive launching same day as the X, people would be fine with it. I'd be fine with it.

It doesn't look like a $60 game though. It looks like a game that either needs to be a budget release like a Recore or they need to delay it a year. It can't be a $60 AA game after all the hype. It looks buggy and glitchy and like the graphics and physics have only made modest imporovemnts from the game that released over a decade ago.

Worst of all, crackdown shows that Microsoft is still lost with 1st party. From original concept of what a sequel should look like 10 years later to execution to marketing. It all sucks. Microsofts entire 1st party is becoming a meme. Not just Crackdown. Some of that isn't fair as they've done some good things early this gen but public perception is really poor in that area and these marketing bozos aren't helping.

Bruh, slow your roll. Damn. The entire world just collapsed in this post. The game hasn't been released yet. Still months to go. I agree the showing of it right now leaves a lot to be desired but, there's still time for a solid release.

If Crackdown ends up living up to any of it's billing, the entire Xbox marketing and PR team needs to be fired. Why would they not lead with the multiplayer if it's doing what they originally hyped? Why are they showing broken, ugly builds of the game if this game will look much better at release.

Developers are saying the game is looking much better but Microsoft goes out and brings in celebs who don't know how to hold a controller to demo a glitchy, ugly build. Honestly I thought this stream was much worse than the E3 demos...partially because of how it was being played but also because it was buggier and even more washed out visually.

Sorry but I'm not seeing what your seeing?

If you look at Phil's twitter he has acknowledged this and says it will be addressed at Gamescon

Oh lord. The tried watching the IGN SDCC interview, but I sprained my eyes from rolling them too much.

I haven't had a D-List celeb forced down my throat so much, since Jessica Simpson started acting.

Attaching some random dude as the face of your game is Hella desperate. And I still have no idea who he is. (I think he is the Old Spice guy?)

Ok I'm a crackdown fan and I'm starting to get worried. At E3, it was we'll show some multiplayer destruction later. At SDCC it was more of the same. Now it's wait until Gamescom. Something's not right. If the game was ready to go or at least in a marketable state, MS would be pushing this with everything they had. But continual stalling and showing off old builds is worrisome.

Nothing they have shown has looked as good as this b-roll footage imo

If the game looks like that, I think the graphics are fine. Not going to win any best graphics award, but they are fine. I would argue the world is a bit bland and lacking in density in terms of objects/NPCs though when compared to SSOD or GTAV.

So is Microsoft holding their cards on an amazing multiplayer experience? Why? It's launching against COD, Battlefront and Destiny. Why wait until it's a couple months before release to start showing that? At this stage, development for multiplayer should be all about balancing and tweaking. It's either a marketing debacle or development hell. While I'm hoping it's a marketing debacle, I think evidence is pointing to the rumors of development hell being true.

Edit...forgot to mention it's also launching against PUBG. This Fall will be insane for multiplayer games. More I think of it, I have no idea why Microsoft feels the need to launch this during the Fall unless they've given up on it and would prefer it got less attention at launch rather than more in 2018.

Cutting the ink outline to 50-75% off that would go a long way.
I think the footage looked great, visually. Lots more detail, explosions etc. If the game play can hold up and they can deliver on the MP, this game will do well. Cant lie though; what they've shown so far will hurt potential sales. That's really unfortunate.

I may be crazy, but the game has always looked like that? At least to me.

Obviously they aren't great but I don't have any problem with the graphics but it would probably be better if it wasn't an X1 launch/holiday title. I can see it being a really solid title that gets completely overlooked because of strong competition and then R.I.P. Crackdown

As for the MP the no show of it plus the disappearance of the beta means the expectations should be low.

I am shocked, shocked I say, that you don't want celeb D shoved down your throat.

Honestly I wouldn't mind parts of Jessica shoved down my throat.

Posted today....hmmm.

"Overall, Crackdown 3 is shaping up to be one of the most fun and destructible games for Xbox One, and whilst the solo aspect looks to be an engrossing experience of its own, it’s the cloud-powered multiplayer component I’m more anxious to learn about. With the developers promising more news in the Summer, one can hope that the wait won’t be too long."

You had me at fun. SOLD.
