C'monnnn give us something before E3.
That is the worst tweet for a game, ever.
It's the PR equivalent, of getting a friend to call you so as you can be sure you haven't missed a call from a boy.
Thirsty!
For real. How about one damn screen shot? Something.
It'll still be Cell-Shaded. It will just be higher fidelity.I'm anticipating a facelift. The cel shaded stuff on the 360 was surprisingly pleasant to look at but I don't believe that look is mainstream. Projecting a more hyper-realistic facelift. My gut feeling is MS is going for a home run with Crackdown this time.

Maybe they're saving it for E3I'll be honest, the lack of actual game content shown to this point has me concerned.
I really hope that is the case. This game has immense potential and I loved the first one.Maybe they're saving it for E3
There will be some level of local physics, if for no other reason that it still needs to work offline or with a slow connection. Anything that requires immediate interaction will be done locallyWondering if they'll sneak in any PhysX effects since they're already running the general physics off the cloud. It would something if they unveiled some next level visual stuff with this game.
Oh I did too. I'm probably one of the few that liked the second one.I really hope that is the case. This game has immense potential and I loved the first one.
I decided to watch that 2015 demo again. I think Crackdown is the most important game for MS since Halo 2. Not saying it'll be great. Just that a lot is riding on it. If it succeeds, we could start seeing Cloudengine powered stuff in other 1st and 2nd party games. Cloudengine could be a game changer for dynamic worlds.
Crackdowns vibrant city in 4K with those physics could be a showstopper. Just hope they fix those janky animations. They always stood out as the biggest technical weakness of the past games and they especially stood out in that demo.
This is why it's been my most anticipated game since it was announced.
There is so much potential there.....but also a LOT of 'ifs.'
that's what was good about the 1st one in that you had to find them, the main reason i did not like the 2nd as much was because they show the orbs on the map.I did. Drove me crazy though. Trying to get achievements and can't find the orbs because there's no in game system to help you find them. First Infamous game was the same way.
was excited at the announcement of 3 but gradually realized that this will be online focused and with the recent talk from P3 about single player story based games not where it's at in comparison to online. i think I'll be giving it a miss.
Horizon is open world as is Zelda along with the Witcher. no multiplayer and all the better for it. so enough of this inexcusable crap. All Crackdowns have Campaign and multiplayer. Its been standard for over a decade now. TBH an open world game in 2017 without online multiplayer is inexcusable as Crackdown 1 & 2, Saints Row, Fable, Red Dead and others have done it for years. It would also be a considerable step back, in terms of functionality.

you appear to confuse co-op Crackdown with this new multiplayer crackdown 3. not even close to being the same thing.
Horizon is unfinished and Nintendo is Nintendo...behind the times in features. The Witcher indeed offline and is a worse game for it. Cyberpunk will have it...so future witcher games can't not have it. Its unsurprising why The Division, Watchdogs and GTA (and soon RDR2) have the legs they do.
Standards rise and those that don't rise to meet them get left behind.
Crackdown 3 has the same modes as 2. Online co-op and multiplayer. Thats the good thing about finished games. Play alone. Play co-op. Play competitive. Anything less is a step backwards.Especially when games from years ago already did it
not true at all.Horizon is unfinished
one of the best games ever made and people are raving about how it improves on open world.and Nintendo is Nintendo...behind the times in features.
again, another game people rave about. The Witcher indeed offline and is a worse game for it.
that has nothing to do with what i'm talking about.Cyberpunk will have it...so future witcher games can't not have it. Its unsurprising why The Division, Watchdogs and GTA (and soon RDR2) have the legs they do.
indeed they do, but your judgement on standards is totally off going by your thoughts on Witcher, Horizon and Zelda. all games that are widely acknowledged to have taking the genre forward.Standards rise and those that don't rise to meet them get left behind.
P3 is going away from story based single player, so in your eyes... a step backwards. in my eyes, a reason to not buy Scorpio.Crackdown 3 has the same modes as 2. Online co-op and multiplayer. you saw what happened to Titanfall without story mode, fixed in Titanfall 2.But hold on.....
Surely C3 still offers a story/single player mode? I mean i greatly enjoyed Crackdown 1's campaign and to this day i still prefer SP games. I'm fine with a big focus on online, but there still is a story mode with missions etc, right? I recall a report that the MP was done a while ago and that they were starting work on the story mode.
But hold on.....

my take from this is that you're rather clueless about gaming in general and even more so about single player gaming given your thought above. quite bizarre actually.
