I was wondering if there already was a thread where we could assemble and combine all of the Tropical Freeze news and videos available. But also to just discuss the title in general.

For instance is this new title doing it for you? Does it live up tot he magic that was the DKC trilogy on the SNES? Should Nintendo redo the trilogy and combine it as one new game while using the new assets on Wii U?

I for one really adore the music in Tropical Freeze, as it was inspired by the original music and composed by the same composer.

Music like this really does it for me:

I hope this gets ported over to the 3DS like the other DK game.

Just buy a Wii U, it's really a great system. Silent as a console should be, small as one should be and no heat development to worry about either. :).

eh, not enough games as of yet for my taste. Maybe when the next Zelda gets announced.

I am happy about being able to use the Gamepad or Pro controller. Hated the roll mechanic in the Wii version.

Would be a great game to play were it available for a real platform.
Aww, don't let the size and hate for the machine fool you.

It's far more capable than it looks. Just look at X and Super Mario 3D world and you get a glimpse of what it can do. Sure it isn't a PS4, but for a quiet, small and cool running machine like this... it's surprisingly efficient in what it shows on the screen :).

I know what it's capable of, I bought one on day one but sold it while it was still worth something. Easily the most disappointing console I have ever purchased.

Then how can you know what it is capable of when the best games started coming out in the last 3 months ? Kind of like buying a PS4/Xone and selling before the1st party titles come out.

Have my pre-order paid off and look forward to collecting some naners :p

That's ridiculous. If everyone sold their PS3 a few months after launch they'd have said the same thing. The Wii U is coming into its own. Clearly Nintendo hasn't and will not be competing with Microsoft and Sony. They're beating to their own drum and slowly but surely pumping out the great first party titles.

What more can you ask for as a gamer? Nintendo consoles aren't main consoles. It's been that way ever since Sony came onto the scene with the PS1. People need to deal with it and stop acting like "well it's not the most powerful and doesn't have the best third party support or online so it's a failure!". I've got my Xbox One for that and i'll have a PS4 soon.

Yeah whoever bought a Wii U who's not a fan of Nintendos games is an idiot.

Looking forward to this game, as the snes was my first console Donkey Kong has a high place for me along with many other Nintendo games.
Many good memories there, still I do miss the kremlings from the old games.

I can see how some gamers could be disappointed that Nintendo still doesn't have the third party support that they need. They tried. And some third parties tried. But the console just hasn't taken off like they all had hoped.

The fact that Nintendo is already talking about their next hardware is a little concerning.

But I love Nintendo's games so I know the deal. I will enjoy their games and will try to reward whatever courageous third party who make original games for the system.

Hopefully when Nintendo gets the price down it will really take off and be a great alternative market for third party publishers.

Wii Us sales are not doing to good, that means this games is going to suck.
