imagine as we get close to Smash,MK8,Bayonetta 2,X those will be games that can carry their own thread
When Smash comes out, I will personally start the Appreciation Thread for that.

No I'll wait for Mario Kart, its awesome I played it during the Best Buy E3 thing last summer.
It is and I prefer it over MK Wii, blasphemy I know just better balanced game than MK Wii ever was . Hopeful MK8 is more Double Dash than Wii

The more I seeof your videos the more I start thinking the Wii U is this generation's Dreamcast. Everybody hates it now, but the ones that own it are having a blast! With quite a few classics being released on it. I just hope it won't be a carbon copy of what happened with the Dreamcast and SEGA.
But otherwise I'm really starting to think that in 10 years all those PS4 only owners now, will be a lot like the PS2 owners back then.

OH indeed, we stand by the door of every Toy store and Game shop. To make sure if you are "Nintendo Enough!" to get a Wii U. Otherwise we just won't allow you to get one. Us Nintendo fans are that hardcore! You need to fill in an exam in triplicate and finish Super Mario Bros: The lost levels in under half an hour.
Of course after that there is the Anal probing....
So someone got a really cheap Wii U and can soon see the good graphics of Super Mario 3D World, The RPG goodness of X, The Fantastic Music of DKC:Tropical Freeze, The Tongue in Cheek bashing of enemies of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors and the fantastic atmosphere of a still to be announced Zelda game.
What a lucky person!

LOL, Iwata personally selects WiiU owners and then has Reggie hand deliver the notification allowing you to make the purchase. One simply doesnt purchase a WiiU

Seriously Gamespot 6/10? and Eurogamer 7/10?
Sigh, really shows that the Eurogamer pixelcounters just can't deal with anything that doesn't allow them to count actual pixels and see what techniques are used that are hardware intensive. Rather than checking if the end result is great. They want tech demos it seems. And Gamespot.. the usual tripe probably....
Such sites make me a tad depressed.
Oh well like Eurogamer also ruined the last generation with pixelcounting.
It is indeed, one has to wonder if they do not underestimate the Wii U a bit. We do know that it has a newer GPU than the 360 or PS3. That doesn't mean it has more Raw power but it can handle other things like deferred rendering a lot better. Wonderful 101 also looked gorgous that one has to wonder if it isn't a bit higher on the scale than people expect.
The character models in this game for instance, they are really doing the job and doing it well.
W101 is a another example of fantastic art design, hope we can get 102.
I dont know jack far as GPU's or CPU's go but I can recognize a fun game when I am playing it lol. I have the X1 and PS4 and currently the X1 is used for netflix / COD and have not had the PS4 turned on in sometime lol. Nintendo games always have that look and so far Retro has never missed with any of their releases.
Most definitely, but when you look at DKC:TF you see some very interesting shader techniques, The lighting for instance is just superb in how it makes it all look vibrant and colourful. People often underestimating just how difficult it is to get the lighting just right.
