Mod edit: Use this thread to discuss features and "vs." talk regarding features. I moved it out of the sales thread, so it won't keep derailing the discussion.
What does kinect have to do with snapping? Kinect was never needing for snapping apps.
FYI, most people at this point are more than likely at least snapping the friends app due to previous updates that caused that app to be snaped by default + the (iirc) August update that added "snap center" making it easier to snap apps without kinect.
You called snapping a "gimmick" and something that "most gamers don't care about" when yet it's more than likely how every XB1 owner uses their system at this point; Snapping is pretty much the next gen version of the Xbox 360 miniguide but with far more options and connections to other apps while you are inside a game.
Nice gimmick, too bad most gamers don't care. They don't care so much, that MS had to go back on their word and offer a Kinectless version at a lowered price.
________
I didn't say no one liked it. However, fact is, one of the biggest complaints was the high cost due to forcing Kinect on everyone.
XB1 sales today would be dismal if MS had not removed Kinect. Truth is, most gamers are going to be....well....gaming.
