For part 1, also needed to beat the game twice, at least once on the hardest difficulty. I'm going to be playing this game so much lol

 
I'm playing that little surprise in Tifa's place now, that nostalgia hits hard. Also the way they did this minigame is great fun !

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this gets a 91 rating, one of the highest final fantasies ever from what I've played from the demo so far.

How far did you get ? There's a "story so far" feature in demo and most likely full game if you just want to jump into that.
 
I think I'm going to do fidelity mode the first time around ok easy or normal difficulty to fully appreciate the graphics then switch to performance when I do hard mode to get that platinum. Square made it really easy to switch on the fly without restarting the game. Just a switch of a button in the options menu if the demo holds true.

I was playing around with the two modes and performance feels really good for the combat and would be a difference maker in the harder difficulty.

 
I love how they have rounded out the side characters in the game to make a more holistic story narrative

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Huge PS5 Demo Out Now, Junon Update Coming Before Full Release

The demo itself will take you through Rebirth's prologue, as Cloud joins Sephiroth on an expedition through Nifelheim and its surrounding mountains, before checking in on the local mako reactor. And yes, you do get to play as Sephiroth. Beating the prologue in the demo allows you to skip the same section in the full game.

What's more, the demo will be updated between now and the full launch of Rebirth on the 29th February. Said update will add an explorable area around Junon, allowing you to delve a little deeper into the game's open world and combat mechanics.
 
Started playing the demo and the low frame rate is so jarring (I played Intergrade on PC). Damn I think I'm just going to have to wait for the sequel to show up on PC.
 
I must have a faulty PS5, because watching videos on YouTube and playing it on a brand new TV are 2 different things. The performance mode is somewhat blurry. The resolution mode fixes that, but looks terrible in motion. The voice acting is almost Resident Evil terrible. The cutscenes look great, everything else... I'm a huge fan of the original game, but I just don't care about this or part 1 at all.

The performance mode is a little too much at 1080p for me too so I was weighing between better performance for battle vs graphics. I wish they implemented the 40fps/120hz like they did for Forspoken.

I think the frame pacing for 30 fps is also annoying but playable.

The Pro cannot come soon enough 😔

That's where I'm at. I'll wait for the PC version and I haven't touched the demo. PC version if ported decently should be the best version.

It's running 1080p? Ugh. That would explain a lot. I don't think this new TV does 1080p and under very well compared to the upscaling my previous TV could do. Not sure why it's not running at least at 1440p and 60fps.

It is DRS most likely but feels like it's running at 1080p to me. Output is probably 2k or 1440p and the fidelity mode is probably output at 4k but native at 1620p -1800p.
