This thread reminds me, I forgot to sell my Kinect.
An accessory whose only purpose for most is to verbally pause/play a show or perform some minor navigation should have always been optional and never been billed/advertised as an integral part of the Xbox One by Microsoft. It's embarrassing and an insult to our intelligence.
Aside from some voice commands (when they actually work and don't force me to pick up a remote/controller out of frustration), most of the technology has gone to waste in that thing for most of the audience that bought it. I would have paid $25 for it, but it's not worth anywhere near the $100-$150 MS values it at.
It's shocking how little MS learned from its experiences with the first Kinect. Their team either had no idea what they were doing or were full of a bunch of yes men too scared to speak up.
