I don't follow the Xbox digital charts. Question: is that counting sales only, or would it include all downloads, for example from Gamepass?

It says top paid. And Ultimate Edition isnt in gamepass.

MS haven't released any game pass numbers yet only saying the number of subs exceeded their early estimates.

Also remember SoD has a fan base with the first having sold over 4m

SOD 2 has a 2 million playerbase according to Undead Labs. Which isn't too shabby, but well short of that 4 million.

Well, that 4 million was over the course of the past 5 years, not 5 weeks :) It took a year for it to hit 2 million, and that was on 80 million consoles+.

True....but how many of that player base is sticking around? I already cancelled my subscription.

Well, those numbers aren't comparable, because the first is mostly Gamepass subscriptions (essentially free), and the second is copies that were sold.
 
Game pass and game pass numbers ("engagement") don't matter to me in the slightest. If there are 2 million active players in the first couple weeks, that sounds like a lot of people playing the game. I personally am enjoying the game, but I have been side tracked by Detroit Become Human, and will get back at it once I finish that up.

They are. I think we got some UK estimates, but that doesn't take us very far. Hopefully we'll get some sales leaks/hints from NPD insiders in a couple weeks. Of course, everyone will be knee-deep in E3 news/discussion by then.
 
It's coming along with KH3. Phil is making a push for Japanese support on Xbox finally. The future looks good.
 
Detroit sold 1 million in its first two weeks, per QD.

Heavy Rain took 5 weeks to hit a million. So Detroit is selling more than twice as fast.

I was just at Amazon, and I was surprised to see listed at #7 is Game Pass. I honestly thought that Game Pass wouldn't click with gamers. With so many gamers loving the purchase games, especially when it comes to physical and special/collectors edition. I could never see myself buying Game Pass. Then again, I don't get Netflix, Hulu and similar services. I mean I GET them as in I understand, but I don't subscribe.

I was going to mention the current ranking of the console sales, but it seems pointless now that Amazon isn't even selling the PS4. I just don't get it.

NEVER would have expected those kind of numbers for that game. I figured maybe 5 million based on my experience with it. Those are insane. I think those included the TLOU:R that were bundled with the PS4 for a year as well?

VGChartz will be correct in about an hour. Their data guy ran upstairs into the kitchen for a Mountain Dew and Doritos quick, and tripped over his cat.
