Would've never guessed that high. Would've guessed maybe 10 mil. Dang.

How could TLOU sell 17 million if VGChartz only has it at 12

VGChartz is never wrong. Val told me so. Clearly ND is telling lies.

They sold 832 copies, and those copies have been traded back in thousands of time each. #GameStop

Crazy numbers, now obviously many of those aren't a t full price but still that game has to have made them a ton of money.

Are bundles included/excluded in either numbers?
Are vgchartz numbers up 2 date?

I would guess that digital sales aren't counted accurately by VGC, we all know their numbers are accurate enough for older information, I'm sure they base a lot of their stuff off of NPD etc.

Phil said in the Giant Bomb interview that SoD 2 and SoT have sold more than they projected.

No new games in the top 40 this week. Ps4 dominated the top 10 thanks to the days of play promotion that saw lots of discounted titles with GoW going back to No.1

Here's the weekly UK top 10:

1 GOD OF WAR PEGI 18+ SONY COMPUTER ENT.
2 FIFA 18 PEGI 3+ EA SPORTS
3 FALLOUT 4 PEGI 18+ BETHESDA SOFTWORKS
4 DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN PEGI 18+ SONY COMPUTER ENT.
5 PLAYSTATION VR WORLDS PEGI 16+ SONY COMPUTER ENT.
6 GRAND THEFT AUTO V PEGI 18+ ROCKSTAR
7 MARIO KART 8 DELUXE PEGI 3+ NINTENDO
8 VAMPYR PEGI 18+ FOCUS HOME INTERACTIVE
9 ASSASSIN'S CREED ORIGINS PEGI 18+ UBISOFT
10 CALL OF DUTY: WWII PEGI 18+ ACTIVISION

Vampyr went from 1 to 8. GoW up from 3 to 1. Detroit held steady at 4.

Turns out Sea of Thieves actually sold a lot better than Microsoft had forecast

Microsoft poster boy Phil Spencer has revealed that Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 sold far greater than what the format holder had initially forecast.

Spencer confirmed during an interview with Giant Bomb that Rare's multiplayer plunder-'em-up moved 'significantly more' copies than Microsoft's internal projections.

'On those two games (Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2), we sold more copies of those games than we expected,' the executive said. 'The same thing was true of State of Decay.'

Both titles are of course available on the Xbox Game Pass, although interestingly Spencer revealed that pass users actually buys more games than other Xbox owners.

NPD for May

PS4: ~223K
NSW: ~167K
XB1: ~145K

All 3 had their best ever May
I don't follow sales enough to know what is good or bad, but for 145K in May for the XB1, that seems VERY low for ALL of North America.

Wow...so May is a pretty disappointing month of the year for console sales. I will probably forget this after I hit the post reply button.

Good to see Detroit selling well out of the gate. Cross it off the list.

Japanese games don't sell
Nobody wants to play interactive movie games

Rainbow Six Siege is still beast I see. I still have yet to buy it. I wish it could be played solo like every Rainbow Six game ever. Well deserved sales for Detroit. Good game.

Happy to see Detroit has outsold Heavy Rain. That's an accomplishment.

Surprised to see SoD2 on top. That's a $30 game, so it needed to sell twice as much as $60 titles to achieve that rank. Fits with Phil's statement about it selling better than expected and Game Pass not hurting it.

Good let it keep sinking cause we know it be stinking.

I might actually be turning around on SoT. Sounds like Microsoft will be investing in it for at least a little while and there's tons of potential there. I could see the game being pretty solid a year from now. It's like a mini Fortnite.

I would never consider playing such a bad looking(fable art sux) and not surprised bad rated game.
