I hope the weather truly is dynamic, so that it can start to rain out of the blue. I also hope snow, cause hey...we'll be seeing the alps...you need snow then,

There was a video that had rain start falling out of the blue. But it didn't look very subtle. I don't know if it's based on any kind of system or if it's track or region based.
Ah i see. I hope it will happen while just driving around the landscapes too, when i am not in a race or anything.
Have you ever visited the Alps in the winter? When it's snowing you'll need a tractor with belts. I hope they don't include realistic snow in the Alps
It would not be very dynamic if it did not. Doubt you will get snow though.
So basically a full day/night system, rain, sunny, or just normal (how is that called?) and that's about it?
I hope they have fog. Would be great with some of those early morning races and roads masked with thick fog. but yeah, so far that sounds about right.
Here's a IGN article all about their dynamic weather system. I thought it was pretty sweet how the rainbows are actually created in this game.

Sounds awesome. Seems they put as much effort into weather simulation as T10 do in to driving physics. I hope this system makes in to Forza 6.
Holy crap that weather system sounds very detailed and very awesome. When they said they added things most players probably won't even notice, it reminded me of Rockstar and their games. Little details that unless you really go looking for it, won't notice.
Weather adds diversity. It is the reason why I feel it should be in all racers.
I think it should be in all racers as an option so that people have more choice.
i never think weather should be present in actual RACES unless I want it to be. Now in H2, while running around the countryside, then fine, weather your ass off.. but If I am running an event, I want to be able to disable weather in that event. I enjoy weather effects, the new physics, etc... but HATE it being forced onto a race just to make the race more difficult than it needs to be.
I like randomness of weather. More racers should have it. And if they can't, then just do day/night cycles. Playing F1 or GT on PS1 would be boring if it was all bright sunny days. But GT had night driving and F1 had rain where cars would have big splashes and mist. Adds variety.

That is fine for track based racers like Drive Club and Forza 5. For open world games though I do no think it make sense. If you drive to a race and it is raining then it should be raining when you race. Anything else is somewhat counter productive to the goal of creating a believable and realistic world. Although that does not mean the option could not be added.
Man the sound of those cars in that video....f***ing lovely! This will be amazing on my recently bought home cinema set.
I am wondering with the 1000 player clubs if there will be places within the world were you can meet up and get out of your car to look at each others rides and such. That would add a lot to the social aspect of the clubs I think.
