Official Forza 5 discussion

I still dont have this game, I have to many games I cant keep up with and I usually only like arcade racers and not sim, I loved Horizon but had Forza 2 and wasnt crazy about it.

I am tempted to grab this tomorrow though, I might do Targets deal this week and I can not think of a 3rd game I want. Probably grabbing Kinect Sports Rivals, Donkey Kong for the Wii U and ?????

Honestly, Forza 2 wasn't a great Forza game. The 2 follow up games in the series were far better.

If any of you guys have good 3d tvs, I highly recommend using the 2d-3d function. It's not 100% accurate 3d, but for games that arent too noisy, it works very well.

I bring this up for Forza because I just tried it last night, and was blown away! It looks incredible in 3d, and since it's being done by the TV, there is zero hit to resolution or framerate! The detail really pops, and the Aliasing almost completely disappears. I was so immersed that I forgot I wasn't actually IN the car for a few moments. Really, really neat.

I have a 60" Samsung 7000 series 240hz LED TV, so it's definitely higher-end. I don't know if cheaper 3dtvs do it as well.

Can not wait for the Long beach track... Wait, isn't that out today!?

Doubt it, and to be honest, I'm not sure T10 could do a decent Arcade racer such as that. Best bet would be to do as they did with Horizon and outsource the IP to Playground games.
 
I seriously want to buy a car pass. It seems like they scrapped the plan to sell a track season pass and just decided to make it free or included in car pass. And that free pass for every car you bought as DLC, I really want to jump in!
 
Raced Long Beach Indy Car hopper for the achievement. Two hour race. Started out struggling because I had only run a couple laps on the track before entering but managed to climb from 4th to 2nd in the last half hour. Shoulders and hands started getting tired and keeping focus was hard corner after corner. Gives you a small insight of just how hard it is to maintain precision driving for as long as the real guys do and they have a lot more g forces to contend with than I did from my comfy chair. Pretty cool event and having it tied to an achievement kept almost the entire room in it for the distance. Think we ended with 6.

Wow man, great job! I love my Forza, but I just don't think I have the constitution for a 2 hr race, especially mp where you can't even pause!
 
Anyone know if there are plans for more Formula One content in Forza 5? The fact that there's only one modern-day F1 car and there aren't any other career events for F1 other than the one that's in the "racing" category...saddens me.
 
I love to see free tracks, but racing on Long Beach against the AI is not pretty. Had a career event there and in the words of my late Grandfather, "It was a demolition derby all going the same way". Racing there is very ugly.

It is a very tight track...reminds me of a couple tracks in Race Pro 07 for the Xbox 360. If you watch races there on TV in real life, you will cringe...thinking people are going to hit each other all the time.

This. It's a friggin' cluster. Cool track but until people race more on that track, the drivatars are going to drive funky
 
Rumors, rumors everywhere....

First this:

"There is a inside rumor that forza6 will not be a disc release at all, instead it will be a dx12 patch to 5 and include around 20 More tracks, full time of day changes, dynamic and geography based weather and major changes to multiplayer. This came through my source and timeline is spring 2015.

As always... Grain of salt."

Then this in response:

"The forza 6 dlc is real but its a rally dlc and update to title so its not exactly a true forza 6.. they just list projects with project management terms. And it will be dlc only @ launch. But I wouldn't be surprised to see it become its own title like horizon."

Yeah I don't see MS going digital only for a long time, especially after last year's whole mess with the DRM drama. I don't see them going near that again for some time.

With news that Sony's DriveClub will be 1080 and 30 fps you have to give it to Turn 10. Here we are with a game thats doing allot more than an arcade racer ever will do. Its a simulated racer with driveatar A.I.,releasing free tracks, and at 60 fps,AT LAUNCH. Just a thumbs up to Turn 10. The other console youre competing against cant even do that. And you fixed the microtransactions by giving better payouts and lowering the price of the pricey exotic cars in the game. Does anybody really feel vindicated after the smoke has cleared? I'm having abit of a chuckle this morning myself. Wish I were home to play abit of the game. :/

Why you have to bring out the other console game here! There is a comparison thread (at the multiplat forum area) if you wanted to discuss the difference.

Read it again. He needs to find a reason to validate his purchase. Poor insecure gamers. You would have thought the awesome Forza game would have been all the validation needed, but I guess not.
