They are not all like bumper cars for sure. That is a minimal experience for me. But the bumper car experience is there. :(

Road America is great. Glad they got away from sun flares, makes it a joy to drive. Also happy to see they finally updated hoppers. Now you can race 70s GP or GT race cars without mixing with the riffraff.

Online has some idiots, no doubt, but dont give up on it. It si really fun. Most people are good and once you learn the griefers tactics the few you encounter will be easy to slip.

All you bitches with this game need to be posting more videos in the xbox record that thread. Nowhere near enough Forza in it.

I would, i'm just lazy right now. I've got some epic clips from Forza 5 to share. I'll get around to it eventually.

I spend most of my time in rivals mode so I don't have too many videos. I usually forget to go back and record some when I do race.

has anyone else noticed the visual updates to the crowd and buildings with I'm guessing the latest update?

haven't played this in awhile... But pulled in the update and noticed that the "people" in the crowd are much more detailed (earlier they were quite pixelated and low quality).... As well as there are now "3D" people in the crowd waving flags and moving...

Been playing online for the past few days. Racking up the medals achievements. Overall it's a good experience. Most people are just having fun and shooting the sh!t. Some people don't know how to drive. This one guy in my last race was in the grass before the race even started and and everyone crashed into each other. I just laughed and took first place easily. The only way they can keep me out of the top 3 is to run me off the road.

There's always been 3D people waving flags, haven't really checked out our cardboard friends though...

Hopefully, with tax money comin' in soon, I'd be able to get Xbox One and this game. I'm having a blast and ton of fun with Forza Horizon. I was surprise to see that there are plentiful of people still playing online. That's pretty cool.

Not sure about the buildings but the crowd has always had 3d guys sprinkled in. The 2d guys were always pretty high rez too. They also have what looks like normal maps because they react to the light as if they were 3d.
Just go into replay or camera mode and move forward and back on the track. You will see as the "cutout" turns to face the camera, the shading gives it a 3d effect. It's a cool idead. Just wish they animated a bit.

The 3d crowd members blend in well. Some of them(especially the ones standing solo on the side of the track) seem to have way higher poly counts than I expected.

Now you can add DLC cars to your garage immediately, the initial 200 cars are a available as rental cars and he hints at an announcement for early Aprils free add-on pack. I'm just going to throw a guess out there and its the Ring.

A Letter From Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director, Turn 10 Studios

By Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director, Turn 10 Studios posted March 28, 2014 at 12:00 PM

This year marks the 12-year anniversary of Turn 10 Studios’ founding and, next year, we’ll celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the original Forza Motorsport on Xbox. That seems like a long time ago, and not just because it was a long time ago. Since we began Turn 10, we’ve all grown… professionally, personally, and otherwise. We’ve gotten older, some of us have started families, and we’ve all benefitted from the perspective that only time and experience can offer.

When Turn 10 came together to build a racing game on Xbox back in 2002, we had high hopes and grand aspirations for the game that would become Forza Motorsport. By the time we released Forza Motorsport 2 in 2007, it was clear that we were building much more than a game. We were building a community. A community of racers, artists, drifters, photographers, dragsters, and car lovers of every stripe.

Watching the Forza community grow and evolve over time has been gratifying and especially humbling for each of us here at Turn 10. We’re proud of what we’ve created and awed by the passion and creativity we witness on a daily basis. Fostering and sustaining the Forza community is a responsibility and a privilege that we take seriously. That’s no less true today than it was when we first began the series in 2005.
I look at the game we launched on November 22, 2013 and the game that I play today, and I see something that has changed dramatically over the past four months. We’ve made some significant changes to the game’s economy, we’ve added new features, and we’ve continued a steady stream of new content, including track add-ons like February’s free addition of Road America.

With our most recent content update for Forza 5, I’m excited to say we’ve made some fundamental improvements to the Forza 5 experience for our fans. As of today, players who have purchased DLC cars in Forza Motorsport 5 can add those cars to their Forza 5 garage immediately, at no additional in-game cost. And, moving forward, when you buy a Season Pass, a DLC car pack, or a single DLC car, you will be granted the one-time free addition of each car to your Forza 5 garage, without needing to purchase them with in-game credits or tokens. This goes for all current Forza Motorsport 5 DLC (including cars in previous DLC car packs) and it will be the case for all future Forza 5 DLC car packs. In addition, as requested by our fans, this most recent content update makes all of the initial 200 cars that launched with Forza 5 available as rental cars.

We’ve built some great history together, all of us. Today’s fundamental changes to Forza Motorsport 5 have been made possible in large part because of the unwavering passion and dedication of you, the Forza Motorsport community. We are a fan-driven series, and the steadfast dedication you have all shown the Forza Motorsport series over the years continues to be a source of inspiration to me, and to everyone here at Turn 10.

This is important. We’re just getting started! In early April, we’ll have another announcement about a free add-on to Forza 5 that I think you guys are going to love.

Thanks for helping make the Forza series what it is today. I’m happy to be a member of the Forza Motorsport community and I’m glad you are part of it with me.

Thanks,

Dan

I have not played Forza 5 in over a month now due to playing other games. Part of me is sad. This game was my life for 2 months!

Same here. didn't even really get a chance to do multiplayer either. If they add some new tracks next month, that might be enough for me to get back into it.

Long Beach Announcement Trailer

The Long Beach circuit is coming to Forza Motorsport 5 for free! Available on April 10 as part of the latest content update for Forza 5, this amazing track has been brought to life in the game using state-of-the-art techniques like laser-scanning, recreating the track's stunning beauty and amazing challenge with sub-centimeter accuracy.

Awesome news! I'm very happy with Turn 10's support for this game so far. Yes they launched with less tracks than many people hoped for, but obviously wasn't to turn it into a cash grab.

Just went back to Forza after a long break. Sooo Good.

If any of you guys have good 3d tvs, I highly recommend using the 2d-3d function. It's not 100% accurate 3d, but for games that arent too noisy, it works very well.

I bring this up for Forza because I just tried it last night, and was blown away! It looks incredible in 3d, and since it's being done by the TV, there is zero hit to resolution or framerate! The detail really pops, and the Aliasing almost completely disappears. I was so immersed that I forgot I wasn't actually IN the car for a few moments. Really, really neat.

I have a 60" Samsung 7000 series 240hz LED TV, so it's definitely higher-end. I don't know if cheaper 3dtvs do it as well.

Can not wait for the Long beach track... Wait, isn't that out today!?

Looks nice.

Is this a real-life track ? Can not recall ever seeing it in another racer, or is it a fantasy track ?

Forza have always been my favorite as the developers are more active & listen. Halps that their game is also fun.

Definately one of MS best studio.

Now make me some ice/snow/wetness in the next Forza will you Dan.
