Well NFS Rivals comes really close, but that game is like an unpolished gem, very fun but clearly flawed. Forza 5 on the other hand is very well rounded.

Actually for me, FM5 has been more stable than 4. 4 was always buggy for me, even long after launch. I can only think of 2-3 problems I've had, and those were days after launch.

Those are gorgeous. I never cared at all for Autovista mode in FM4, but now I love it. I love hopping behind the wheel of cars I've actually been in back in the 80s and 90s. It is like a time machine taking me back.

Couldn't agree more BUSTERMAN!! I especially like opening the game and seeing how much money my drivatar made. How is everyone on engine mechanics here? I must say I'm actually learning a bit from this game.

The driving physics are really well done too! They worked with a company to refine the tire physics which is right down the road from me (Calspan).
She doesn't just have good looks, but she's got personality as well.
The driving is fantastic, especially when you turn off most or all of the assists.

I turn off all assists except two, ABS, I always lock the wheel with a pad, and Automatic, again, I do not like a pad for manual. I do flip flop on the latter one though.
ABS was the last thing I turned off. With the feedback on the triggers, it is much easier to go with no ABS because you can "feel" the tires locking up.
I do manual but without a clutch. I have no idea how people do that. I don't have an 11th finger to hit the clutch.
I used to use a wheel in 4 but am learning to use the controller. I'm not paying the crazy prices for the wheels that are available.

I used a wheel last gen too, but like you, I'm not paying for the wheels this time round. As for the triggers, I forgot about the new triggers and rumble. Nice to see they have a very useful use.

Great shots. This game is pure eye candy. Plus the gameplay is there. Forza 5 is the total package. It's the measuring stick by which all sim racers are judged.

I've seen footage from project cars, must say F5 still looks much better. Specially the environments
From what I have seen, from the official pCars forum, it's looking better than F5 dramatically.

This is just a sick track. I have raced on it numerous times in real life, and I go there every year. I am so glad this was brought back. I was dismayed to see it missing from FM5. Us Wisconsin folks, we must rejoice!!

Thankfully the career mode is pretty extensive with many different leagues featuring different classes of cars which keep things fun. I tried a little multiplayer and each race quickly turned into bumper cars which turned me off fast. It felt like I was being rammed on purpose.
